From this link you can read the whole thing here (http://psforums.station.sony.com/ps/board/message?board.id=psdevdiscussion&message.id=73759)

The winner of the Monolith capture will take hold of information that instructs how their Empire can launch a specific attack against their enemies. This attack will manifest shortly after the finish of the Monolith by locking both home planets of the defending Empire (that the attacking Empire is using the gained core information on) and kicking everyone off them. One of the home planets will stay locked, all bases neutral with no one able to enter. The other will be set up with the defenders owning the capitol and 2 sub capitols (so that the force dome is up) but all other bases and towers neutral. Only 160 defending troops will be allowed on the planet while 200 attackers will be (with 0 from the 3rd Empire allowed). Caverns will rotate, so that both caverns connect to the contested zone. A 3 hour timer will kick off and at the end whoever controls the capitol will instantly control both of those home planets. Should this be the attacking Empire, they will gain access to the defender’s vehicles (and BFRs) as per the existing global benefits system.

Ok guys, time to dust off your Jackhammers and get online!

The event starts on Friday at 5pm CET (4pm for the UK) and runs until 8pm. At that time, whoever owns the capitol (or has gotten the Monolith to the capitol) wins.

What do they win? They win the chance to be the first empire to "attack" another empire. The other empire (don't know how this will be determined) will get their home conts locked, and then one of them will open up. The defending empire will get the capitol and two sub-caps. The attacking team can have 200 players attacking, and the Defending team get 160 players. The 3rd empire can not participate on this continent.

I'm still a little confused about what the exact procedures will be, but I can tell you that the NCWA is going to play a LARGE role in this : So the big question is -

How many players plan on being around Friday at 4pm British time?? Please post here so we can try to coordinate something with the Alliance.

Cheers,

it bothers me that you dont really WIN the event.
you are just the first to attack,
the next day the second can attack the third and on sunday the third attacks the first or so...
all that is decided by the event is the order of attacks :(

I thought that also, but as its the only thing going on, and with luck will be much more fun than normal play, I'd suggest we do our best.

I can't think of anything that could be given to the winners that wouldn't unbalance the game for the period they had it, or be not worth having, so having only one enemy for a while I think could be great fun.

Sounds like a okay twist actualy. Now its Empire on Empire. Since on other faction can back hack it should be intresting...

But they should have called the start of the event "Monolith kickoff" or something instead of "win" since you realy dont win anything by getting it.
The only loser in the monolith would probaly be the empire that dosent get to attack OR deffend so peps mite logg off.

I hope to be there with my usual compliment of deployables, AMS's, Gals (if we need one) and to moan about people not getting on my Gal or telling me where it's going.

Note: The event starts at 5pm British time, not 4pm.

Apparently the dev's are rather confused by daylight saving time.

According to the weekly development activities, the mono will spawn at 5pm local to the server location, but Werner is based in Amsterdam...which is 1 hour head of British time. But in a follow up thread Sam has stated the mono will spawn 5pm British time, not Amsterdam time.

Go figure.
