almost every1 is overclocking his pc, but i have a unique downclocking comunity we are working on downclocking a 3.2 ghz pc to 85 mhz and make windows 3.1 run on it. But it does not work at all if u downclock it to much.
what do we do wrong?

would u say that downclocking is a great idea or do u want to join my downclocking comunity?

I had a turbo switch on my 486DX2, that could switch from 66mhz to 33mhz, that way i could play Wing Commander 3 without the game stuck in FFWD :)

I Can sell you a 90MHz Pentium I machine which works nice and slowly if that's what you want.
It has a 1GB Hard Drive, 32MB Ram, 2x CD-ROM and Windows 3.1.
It's all packaged in one of those lovely beige boxes that everyone wants these days.
It's yours for £400 plus postage and packing.
Also comes with 0 Years warranty and 8 Years of accumulated fluff to keep the processor warm.

Mad as it sounds, Downclocking has been around a while -- people bored of squeezing that extra ghz out of their £700 Pentium processor which would go up in flames if their Absolute-Zero™ Cooling system raised above -266°C :)
