Interplay Proposal (http://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1057232/000117091806001092/presentation.htm)

Interplay have sent a proposal to the SEC for a MMO set in the Fallout world. The project is estimated at a total of $75 million, with $5 million for preproduction, $40 million for production, and $30 million for the launch. Development is stated to begin in January 2007, with the game launching in July 2010.

I hope this one makes it, the Fallout games were superb...

Fallout 2 still remains my favorite game of all time. I found Fallout Tactics to be a bit of a dissappointment, though.
If this goes through, I hope they can manage to catch that incredible feel that Fallout 2 had to it.

You wouldn't believe how many times Ive been reading the instruction manual for Fallout 1, simply cause it is F*****G brilliant. The survival tips are just imba:
If something glows enough to read a book by during nighttime, DON'T TOUCH IT

And I LOVE those sniperrifles. Who cares if they take one extra point to fire? It will blow a hole the size of the opponents full chest hmmmmm.

I never got around to complete Fallout 2, but damn I loved that game. I was kinda new to computergames at the point, I quickly fell in love with it :)

I had some weird bug in Fallout 2, where my car would only appear half. Sometimes I would get the trunk part and sometimes the front part. If I got the front part I couldn't grab some weaponry from my car.

If someone has a bugfree version of Fallout 2, share plx ^^

Right Stealth, that's why I stopped playing, I remember now. I gotta buy Fallout 2 next time I see it.

Also that occasional random fight against mutants that would wtfpwn you before it was your turn :D

And it was a tad annoying that the bodyarmor on the people in your posse didn't show (as in the NPCs always wore the same shit) whereas yours did. And that radiation zombie town was bugged, for no apparent reason one minute they were friendly and next time you were around they attacked you on sight.

BTW there was a rather easy way to get yourself one of those Enclave power armor suits (the one illustrated on the box and game intro where the Enclave troopers blast the shit out of the family coming out of a Vault) - that paired with H&K CAWS or some other of the better fully automatic shotguns was sweeeeet.

It was ghoulishly cool how you'd blast someone's whole upper body to pieces when you got a critical attack with one of those auto-shotties :D

2nd time I completed it was in a 2-man group with just me and Sulik. Maxed out melee weapons ... super sledge ownage.

Easy maths.

Sulik = the Mr. T of Fallout 2
Super sledge = pwn

Sulik + Super sledge = clearly the win

and since standing behind someone going into melee was kind of annoying, I could as well go melee too.
