I've used that one and its very nice. Using the timers built into necrosis now due to being lazy and thats not bad at all either. Cant post a screenie since Bloodscalp is down.

Did I mention I hate warlocks for having a working version of Necrosis. GIEF Cryolysis to the mages. /cry

I do recall some mage having some outbursts because of necrosis. Maybe theres some class related grudges ;)
Heres necrosis in action. upper right corner. As you can see I'vee noobed up and am currently gliding down a steep slope towards swift death.

Just read on the Blizz forum that the original creator of Cryo has stopped playing so he also stopped further development BUT some ppl has picked it up and are now converting it to ACE2 and the new patch so there is hope. :D

I thought Cryo was released a couple of days ago? If it's converted into Ace2 I certainly hope it will not be as crappy as the Ace2'd version of Necrosis (Necromicon <--- suxzorz de la bleu).

Is it just me or did they remove all "cool" sfx from the new necrosis as well as the shadow trance button?

Btw, if you haven't specced 30/21/0 yet, then do it. DoTs that kills ragg in 10 seconds ftw :D

Latest news on Cryo from this thread http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html;jsessionid=49C44A4BADAA26F8E39EC84DAA4 30D70?topicId=55006893&sid=1&pageNo=9

Greetings again. This is your local friendly Cryolysis rewriter :-)

Just wanted to let you guys know we made an internal alpha release today (Cryolysis 2.0.1a). I'm hoping that the testing and debugging of the major stuff goes quickly so I can get it to you guys asap. Just for kicks (and because I know you'll enjoy it :-) I'm including the internal release notes, so you have an idea of our progress.

Release Notes
2.0.1a (alpha)

Ok, so here's a little list of what I've done so far, how, and what still needs to be done or will not be able to be done.

Let me preface this by saying welcome to your jobs beta testers. Being fairly new to wow, and also fairly busy, my main toon is only a 33 mage. Therefore I've been unable to test portals, mounting (which I haven't fixed anyway) and the higher level mana stones, among other things. Any of you testers with 60's (I'm sure most of you) please focus on testing portals and other high lvl buffs/stones. (I know portal stones are expensive. Please remember you are never required to spend gold to be a beta tester. If there's something you don't want to test bc of the cost, don't do it. I won't think any less of you). Once again (or once if I haven't said it) thank you for your help. I'm sure getting an early version is nice, but I know you guys will work for it.
--Summary
(wow, lua has me using -- comments all over the place now :-)

--Working
Buff Menu/Buttons (right and left click)
Portal Menu/Buttons (afaik)
Food Button (Left and Right click only, trade not yet implemented)
Drink Button (Left and Right click only, trade not yet implemented)
Center Button (Left click only to eat/drink, for menu use /cryo)
Evocation Button
Mana Stone Button (Only conjures/uses the highest level you are able to get at your lvl)
On the mana stone, I don't believe cryo will be able to choose what stone to use

--Not Working
Left/Right Spell Button (anybody know how cryo decides what spells to put there? I never use them)
Mount Button (can't test anyway, I'll get to it later)

--Can't be Implemented (I think :-)
Choosing what mana stone to use/conjure. I believe this is considered an "intelligent decision", or rather what blizz no longer wants your addon to do.
I'm sure there's more but I've been working with the basics pretty successfully so far

Ok, now for the detail

--Button Changes
At the advice of Lomig (thx mate), I have made all the buttons in Cryolysis.xml "SecureActionButton" (inherits="SecureActionButtonTemplate". By doing this I was able to set up behaviors for them in Cryo. (find them around line 2450 in the spell detection/initialization routine)

The main button right click no longer brings up the menu. Not sure how to accomplish this with the current scheme.

--Function Changes
Most of the functions were cut out (functionally, not literally. the lua is a mess). They were all turned into either direct spell casts or macros. Luckily wow now automatically selects the highest rank spell to cast, so i got to skip a lot of code there. I also believe it automatically casts the proper AI/AB on targets dependent on their level (see they did help us out a bit there. The Blizz giveth, but The Blizz taketh away)

Enjoy that for now, and know that hope is on it's way

(.) < Look, it's a tunnel with a light at the end of it
(o) < It's getting bigger
(O) < Don't worry fellow Magi, you'll be hearing from me again soon.

Myrridin - Demon Soul

btw Dot timer is also very nice mod.

That thread has kinda died and a new has spawned Bud.

Here's some dev comments from the new one:

Each morning that I sit down to start coding, right after turning off my alarm clock, I have to staple my flesh to my desk to avoid deleting everything and starting an Ace2 version from scratch. After I eat my Lucky Charms and Mt. Dew, though, I settle down a little bit and am able to continue our work.

I'd be more than happy to do that, but then we'd be talking about an ETA of weeks, not days. :P

So in time we get an Ace2 version of Cryo. ;)

We hope to have a rough beta public by this coming Monday, if not sooner. Just fyi.

We are getting there. :D

I dont like the timers in Necrosis, They're too hard to see.

I'm glad there's a new version of DoTimer as I used to use that all the time. Far better imo.
