As you can see it takes great skill to deffend against "uber jackhammers" attacking the base.

Kina makes me think that if RL started as VS, god forbid :eek: ( and never will be btw!), and had there 4x squads deffending gens whit Lashers it would probaly have been nerfed. :)

Also take a note of ProffChaos "Meteor Strike". He sends out a GM message just before it hits so peps cant move hehe ;)

lasher is a noob weapon.. period.
Every time I get problems with a lot of players attacking, I just make a max stand in front of me, and fire the lasher orbs all over the stair.. oups spammsters kill for the win :)

Yeah, but whit a little teamplay it wouldnt be a problem.
Like dual team. Once one of the two runs for ammo the other starts shooting. Rens repeat. Or Squad 1 hold West cor, Squad 2 hold East cor. While a few empty maxes do ammo runs.

Ofcourse its VS where talking about so I dont think teamplay is there main turf :)

Btw Hovis hows the mmo artical going? Is it out yet or still in writting/press?

Well....it is easier idd to defend with a lasher..but it can be done with gausses too..the only thing u dont get is the lash damage for ppl hiding at corners...but u still get a quite nice damage from long distance.

Of course you can defend with Gausses too, that's not the point here. It's that nothing short a full MAX rush should beat a Lasher defence if the spammers have half a brain.

Btw in a similar situation again Pulsar > Gauss, due to 10 more ammo/magazine and yet the same damage. Gee the fishies sure have it hard...

and with the pulsar, in the case of a max crash, they just hit the right button and they are ap in less then a second, try that in a gauss and either they hav run past you or you are dead. Plus the lasher is still nasty to a max that hasnt got personal shield and a full max shield on.

All i want to say is that everyone is overpowered at some point.

The lasher is extreme in backdoor defence as you said.
The Jackhammer is just unbeatable in close range.

But i have to agree...VS are overpowered in many ways ^^ (MAXes, Pulsar being the best MA weapon, Magrider being the best battletank (imo), Thresher having the extreme speed and hover advantage.)

But oh well....life sux anyway :p
