I was talking to Fluff and Ludi (well, i was watching them talk as i worked) on IRC yesterday, and we talked about BF2 and how good RL will be at it.
Now, I know that we will be good at it, and as long as the game is good, I think we should create a clan for that- i know I may leave CS for it.
Anyone planning for sure to get this game? Just want to see the numbers

Yeah RL in BF2 wud absolutley pwn.... Its like PS but with only 2 areas to fire...
Head or Body!
Plus with our experiance at rapid deployment thru Armoured Infantry or Airborne assualt methods we shud do very very well....

Dude it doesnt exactly fill me with confidence that the Captain of the CS:S clan is already sayin that b4 we've even had our 1st match
But i do agree that it would be a good game for RL, loved the 1st one (mainly DC) and sure i'll love this one too

I'm still nervous about BF2, A: My PC wont run it :p B: I like Infantry combat more than vechical combat, and BF1942 was shite at it, BFV was somewhat better, but BF2 needs to improve infantry fighting alot for me to like it. If it does you'll be looking at RL's permanant dedicated medic :p

BF2 will be one of the greatest games ever! You also can gain experience and advance in levels, get new weapons and stuff like that. Graphics are stunning, and the maps look good aswell.

blackhawks fly? i thoguht they just took off then crashed straight away...or get shot down because their engines run so hot and they're so big and slow and badly armoured and they're too busy sucking big donkey bollocks.

whats funny though - sorta looking at the previous discussion about always have the US fighting the 'terrorists'. I looked at some screenies and its not 'terrorists' we're fighting. Its a combination of weapons. They use weapons and equipment like most of teh southwest asian countries do.. just to diversify.
vasquez: blackhawks ftw... better than youre crashing lynx's (off the coast of portsmouth or summin)

Doesn't really matter which heli is better... Like in Joint Operations.. LOL you spend 4 minutes gettin 12 odd people into your heli then like a spastic you fly straight into a tree on lift off... those trees are the best AA weapons by far. :p
Beware of the Trees!

I just hope the weapons are more accurate than in BF1942... machine guns just sent bullets all over the screen unless you were prone.

ever tried to fire a machinegun while not prone ?
i saw it once in my army times and it looked damn funny. only good that nobody was within 90 degree to the right of the sucker...
think some special units have a light machinegun tho which you can shoot while not prone without killing half your squad

yeah.. i tried out my bro's Sig550 (like the 'Krieg Commando', just a longer rifel without scope - he's in the swiss army - yeah, i know, funny eh?) and you fire a burst and only 1 of those shots actually go towards the target - the rest kill some birds...
you fire 10 rounds and youve nearly fallen backwards...

hehe, my first experience of real firearms was a .22 ruger which u cant even feel fire. then a .410 under and over shotgun which was no problem.
then i got a PROPER gun, a semi-automatic 12 guage. that really kicked, quite a suprise first time but. then i used a .303 SMLE and got a .375 magnum lever-action rifle. no problem with either. then some assorted .308 rifles and a .240 rifle which were easier than the .303 tbh.
then i got my handguns :D 3 SIG-Sauer P226s, an H&K P7, a Berreta M92F,a glock 17...
and then i got to play with the proper stuff: L85A1/2 and GPMG (courtesy of the AAC). pity u have to be in the middle of fucking nowhere for them to let u fire on full auto lol: "today we're gonig to learn how to control fully automatic fire on an area target at 500m range" *everyone cheers* "so we're gonna drive 30 miles in a cold lorrey, hike 15 miles through rain and fog, then camp in a muddy field for the night" *everyone groans*
most recent has been a .50 BMG. and fuck me that kicked like a mule. i had to go lie down for a minute afterwards. some guys attempted to shoot it standing up but after seeing the bruises i politely declined.

niice -
the best thing that ive heard is from my bro in the swiss army. He's a demolition expert (note his name) and there is an explosive used to create craters in the road so that tanks cannot pass + get stuck in a hole if they do.
you dig a small hole, put in this 30kg explosive in a pipe, add some special stuff and then add another 30kg. Thats a +60kg explosive in the ground. Bang time makes a crater so big....... that it's illigal to 'show' or 'practice' using them in Swizterland since the craters are so big.
