Global command

someone started a thread about global messages and i thought its a good idea to rework command system a bit.
what do you think about it ?

Its certainly a nice idea, but theres always the danger that certain individuals will get power-rush and abuse it (**cough-Mike33-cough**).

The Global commander would need better tools at his disposal then the ability to global however; its a rather crude tool at the best of times. Useful for keeping people updated, but direct orders over it tend to be ignored.

The ability to comunicate with squad leaders directly would be much more useful, something like the old commanders list idea. Does anyone know why they didn't impliment this btw? It was one of the original PS concept ideas so the Devs must have reconised command shortcommings right from the go.

I agree with the point about the biggest outfit will continually get global command, so it would be mike33 more often than not, could we cope with that.
Also the point about ignoring globals - we ignore them because of all the spam and conflicting requests. A global command system would address this.
But we mainly need to tell the globallers to stfu every now and then. I have a VS char on Werner and I love playing as him because of how organised their commanders are, the globals are consistent, there's no spam or backbiting, it's almost serene ;)
