does anyone know how to get these off the air elementals. any tips or secrets?

Tanaris is the only place to get it..

Get on your mount, go to the desert dunes (where all the great carcassus are) and travel around a bit, kill earth elementals too (more chance a windelemental will spawn in its place)

i killed ~10 of the stone elementals (had only useless crap) and ~8 air elemantels (0 loot). that's why i'm asking if there is any secret.

took me around 3-4 hours to get 5 breath of wind.

I have a route I keep riding, from northeast of the dunemaul compound im going southwest around the little mountain/rock all the way to the cactus osasis, and then back all the way to the silithus thingy to the east then im heading back north.

On the route I kill scorpions for their scales, the elementals what ever they are. And from time to time I waste of a few basaliscs (sp?)

Keep going on that and you'll get your pay, the drop rate is around 30-40% i'd say.
