Just A quick note to say hi to you all.

Plus many thanks for your help in the events, I hope as we start to understand the strengths of each outfit we will be able to pull of even more impressive hacks and stunts in PS.

Looking forward to seeing you all this Sunday for the Vanguard event.

Grendel

P.S.
I think I applied to join your RL PS forum, I though it was your public one. I then noticed your public one. So please disregard the request.

Hi, glad you dropped in!

The more we work together, the more we learn, so why limit it to events? Impromptu stuff can be great fun :)

Agreed we don't just have to restrict the co-operation to just events.

However as many of you are aware the whole 58AD alliance broke down this week. It came about due to BDx and AF wanting to do their own thing etc etc.

To be honest the 58th had been thinking the same thing.

So I think if we find ourselves in the same cont then yeah co-operation is the way forward. But what we must make clear is that we run our own squads, this is simply becuase you know how you play best and vise versa for us.

I was hoping that maybe someone from RL would like to command one of the event nights soon? I dont mind doing them but hell even I get bored of my own voice!

See you in Game

We'd say exactly the same thing :) In fact when numbers are high in an outfit, that is the way it has to work, otherwise people feel oppressed, that makes it no fun.
So working with others I doubt that anyone would even think of trying to split squads, that throws away all the benefit of getting used to your team mates abilities/certs/etc

Great to see you guys posting in here! We've been very successful recently and I'm hoping that trend continues!

Looking forward to the "Official" launch of the NCWA this weekend, but I still have no idea where I can post some sensitive info about it.

I'm thinking I could PM Echor, Grendal, and someone from Fight Club......but I don't know if anyone from FC is here. So maybe on NCWA forum?

I've posted more detail somewhere else about last night (3/15/05), but I thought it went extremely well with Phathogen and your crew. I did have some questions though, in reference to some of the above statements about "our squad knows our stuff...etc...(paraphrasing)" Nothing negative, of course. But questions nonentheless.

For example: Last night RL did a recall to try and coordinate with each other, since we were altogether in Sanc we decided to see what 58th was up to using Channel Commander. Phathogen was online and trying to get the caves secure for the NC on Searhus/IVA - Excellent effort btw! - and we were asked to assist in the caves. But since most of the guys had just recalled from the other cave no one really felt like going down there again.

We saw that Hossin was getting hacked and decided to send some (2) people to help Phathogen/Elim in the caves, while the rest went out to resecure Hossin.

Anyway, instead of giving a diary on what happened and who shot who.....my point is :

We were able to pull off some great coordination a few times, but overall we still kind of held to our own "objectives". As was evident when the idea of Nexus vs. Amerish was thrown out.

Oshur was zerged heavily by the TR (80%+ pop on 3 islands - none on nexus) and we had a link to Nexus via the GeoWarp. Eliminatorr had the idea of stalling the TR zerg for a bit by putting on a hack at Nexus and then having all 15 of us use Guass/Spiker's to defend. With the right setup, and I do agree with him, we might have been able to hold even against 3:1 odds or better.

The other idea was to head to Amerish and pull the VS off of Searhus, to allow the NC to get a foothold on that continent. The NC still had both home conts at the time and would really benefit from taking the fight to a VS continent.

Anyway, RL was still passing around the idea of what to do (please note this was time sensitive as the TR were starting to hack Nexus), when we get over Channel Commander that the 58th have voted and they are moving to Amerish.

***This thread is in no way a complaint, but rather a query.***

Later that evening when we all tried to go to Solsar as it got hacked RL noticed that Hossin was getting hit by the VS and responded, when asked if they would like to go, 58th said they would help try to keep Seth on Solsar.

RL moved out and were able to resecure Ghannon on Hossin with about 2 min's left on hack, then we moved to Cyssor and made the resecure with 2 SECONDS left on hack (great job "bulletsheilds!"), and then back to Hossin to get Ghannon again, then Hurrakan, then Moose and Elim headed to Orisha on Cyssor to take care of 6 TR that showed up there, and the rest of us just kept killing VS on Cyssor.

My point in this VERY long-winded example -

Sometimes you guys will want to do what you want, and sometimes we will do what we want, but I still think that on Event nights (whoever is leading - and it should CHANGE) whatever the commander says go.....no whining, no complaining, and no "ahhh.....RL really doesn't want to go there, so we're doing something else".

(Disappointed aren't you? You'd think that after that very long winded example there would be an equally long-winded querry or philosophical conclusion.)

Cheers,

FuSs
