I know this is my 4th 'last ever' post, but new technology keeps getting released. As most of you know, my current computer sux0rs. After long concideration, I have decided to buy a Shuttle Small Form Factor computer.

I have narrowed my search down to 3 choices. They are:

1. SN25P (http://eu.shuttle.com/en/desktopdefault.aspx/tabid-72/170_read-10611/) - the biggest (by an inch) out of the 3, but has the most space inside, and has the most power output. It's PCIe and is also AMD 939.

2. ST20G5 (http://eu.shuttle.com/en/desktopdefault.aspx/tabid-72/170_read-10719/) - smaller then the SN25P, it is PCIe and AMD 939. It does however have less power output, and is slightly more compact (and thus bit hotter)

3. SN95G5 (http://de.shuttle.com/en/desktopdefault.aspx/tabid-72/170_read-10497/) - same chassie (G) as #2 but an older motherboard. It is AMD 939 but only has AGP. It, again, has slightly less power output and is more compact.

So - these are my three choices. I am having trouble decide between each. One factor that seems to stand out is sound. All three of these models have onboard sound. #2 and #3 have their GFX slot and PCI slot in a position that allows for easy fit of a internal sound card. #1 however, is the other way round, it CAN fit a sound card, but the air from the fan of the GFX will blow onto it.

Now, what I would like everyone to do, is at least have a look at the specs of #1 and #3, and #2 if possible and give their opinion of which one to buy. It would mean a great whole lot if a bunch of you could give your input.

Thanks

I doubt that anyone here has enough real knowledge of these systems to give an authoritive answer

Just like Shy says I'd go for the PCIe though, your number 1, and be prepared to change the motherboard in the near future (I either avoid first generation hardware or expect to change it for a later revision soon after buying it).

What do the forums for Shuttle say? (the guys with valid, hands on experience on it, not the noobs on it)

didn't expect that anyone other then say, hovis (not hinceh) could give a good answer, I was just hoping for some input.

I'm currenly useing a forum called Sudiah who are part of a website called www.sfftech.com which deals only with SFF. Everyone there has shuttles and knows everything about shuttles. There answers are so descript it's hard to figure out which on to go for. I've posted a similar post but in the end get confused due to all the technical talk.

Thanks anyway guys.
