My mage build, CONTRUCTIVE criticism needed

As u all know im sorta less seeing my mage as my main and ive thought long and hard about my upcomming specc. Its build for massive damage really.

Im going to use scorch as my main damage spell and get shatter.
This is going to give me alot of critchance. and alot of burst damage i reckon.

anyways what are ur thoughts?

first of all. whats up with the blizz???
a couple of other funny and weird choices:P

impact is a must for firebuild,especially if scorch is your main dmg:D it owns.

tbh, i doesnt look like a "scorch" build at all. It looks more of alot of points in different places and realy not any perticular build.

your gona run out of mana in no time, thats the downside of firebuild so if your gona go for alot of crit chance (tho i say +dmg is way better cuz u can use lower ranks to conserve mana) master of elements would help you alot.

cant be arsed right now to go into details on each and every point, mainly cuz its late but what ive written should have pointed you in the right direction.

hmmm if i were still playing my Mage and wanted to go Frost-Fire i'd give this a try

my personal favorite build is an arcane/frost setup such as:

the pom and cold snap is ideal for dealing stupid amounts of aoe damage in a very small amount of time, and pom is good also for insane burst damage (imagine dual 2.1k frostbolts, sick!). silence is very good for casters, druids and palas too. and arcane resilience/improved mana shield is very useful against melee classes, although not as strictly essential as silence is for casters. ontop of that the arcane focus is good for improving the time of your polymorph spells.

this build i would recommend for anybody who has gear that is biased towards frost damage.
