The following is some Info I took from the official boards, regarding Relic Armour:
Relic armor works exactly like EQ1 quest armor did... you need 1 mold and 3 gems....
To find out which gems you need, go to Sol Eye and just outside the zone where the Forge is for making Wyrmsteel weapons, there is a new NPC that will tell you about the armor and which gems you need... However, he does not tell you where to get the molds from.... So.....
The Molds drop in The Laboratory of Lord Vymen which is located just above Halls of Fate (I have not been there yet to get details on exactly how to get there).... The Laboratory is a raid zone... The mold drop off the trash mobs...
Now then... I am not sure this zone is working properly ATM, as I heard that SOE depopped the zone.... Reason for this that were stated (not by SOE) is that the zone lockout was only happening when/if you killed a named... What this was allowing was for some guilds to go in and farm the trash mobs for the mold, while never killing any of the named so they would not get locked out... Then they would zone out, and zone back in to a fresh zone and repeat the process.... Apparently a few guilds have done this and are well on thier way to equiping thier raid force with Relic armor...
That would explain why people were so tight lipped about where the molds came from... Could be they did not want others to learn about the messed up lockout and report it, thus ending thier ability to farm the molds....
Anyway, the gems that are needed seem to drop in SoS. If anybody knows of any other places where they drop, please mention it below. I have saved all the gem drops I ever got. Back in EQ, my guild had a guild bank for gems. I suggest we open up something like that here, too.

Further general info:
When you have aquired the necassary componants, you must visit an NPC in Sol Eye. His name is Keortor Talyse. He will fashion the armor pieces for you. He is found just outside the Forge of Ages which is near the bottom of Sol Eye. Location is, -67, -625, -48.
If you want to find out what you need for your particular class, visit him and he will tell you. He won't talk to you unless your level 65 or more.

- Entering the Laboratory of Lord Vyemm now triggers a 6-hour zone reuse
timer. The reuse timer after killing a named encounter remains the same.
So the problem with the dungeon should be solved and we should make a conscious effort to get there. Especially as you can now either farm the molds once every 6 hours (great for weekends) or complete the dungeon normally.
