wierd happenings on GA's comp

so, recently, i've had 2 problems:

1. If i'm ever watching a vid in WMP and I 'suddenly' close the window, without pausing the video, i nearly always BSOD. As long as I give it a second to stop playing and close the window, its alright...

2. I recently installed BF2 + SF. As soon as i have loaded a map, my game minimizes. Apon maximization, all the colours are fubared and I cannot run the game. I've reinstalled the game thousands of times without any luck.

drivers are up to date.

i'm thinking its hardware. I've since reformatted computer and it didnt help, so i think that my GFX card or my memory may be broken.

I have that colour thing once in a blue moon...but I just restart the game and it's fine, so I can't help you I'm afraid :(
