Widescreen in certain games

People keep asking about widescreen support in Planetside, I know that can't be the only game that doesn't have native support for some screens, then I remembered being told about a utility that will set your game to the same as your desktop automatically (think it was Justinalot, but this might not be the utility that he mentioned).

After googling I found this:

Actualy made me remmeber that I played the old Starwars game Dark Forces in "fake vide screen", it had a screen down setting that jumped into widescreen after a few - instead of just making the screen smaller like in Doom. This was ofc because of my crappy computer at the time :)
