Renegade Legion Guild Charter – Nagafen, EverQuest2

Welcome to the Renegade Legion Community.

You have been chosen to join the ranks of one of the truly great Gaming Community of recent times. I hope you come to enjoy your membership and look back on these times when you’re grey and old with misty eyed reminiscing.

Renegade Legions History

The story started in June 2003. The game, PlanetSide. It was in SOE’s groundbreaking MMOFPS that two German’s decided to make an Outfit that had the goal of being a highly organised and efficient group of players. They wanted to make an Outfit so good that they could literally control the course of the game. So was born the Legion.

After many weeks of play the number of players in the outfit grew to a steady number. Fewer than 100 players held the rank of Renegade and wore it with pride in battle. Members came and left, other members became infamous and still now after 3 years are a feared player.

When PlanetSide started to wane in its ability to keep the attentions of the Legions core membership the decision was taken to expand the community into other games.
At first it was attempts at creating clans in various FPS games such as Counter-Strike and Battlefield 2. Many members looking forward to the new MMO, World of Warcraft took it upon themselves to spread the Legion into the new domains of the MMORPG. We like them are taking the Legion to new heights and new victories in EverQuest2. Now rise up my brothers and sisters and prepare for the coming battles!

Member Rules

Renegade Legion is a Community orientated guild. We are not out to set the highest raids on farming status, nor are we going to sit back and do nothing. We are going to beat whatever challenges us. We are going to take the fight to our enemies. We are going to stand tall against the forces that want us to fail. We are going to live on, we are going to push ourselves to become better and better and we will not fail.

As a Renegade you hold the responsibility to uphold the Morality and Agenda of this fine gaming community. Remember, every single member is an Ambassador of this guild. Your actions reflect on us all so be wary of what you are doing and how you act while doing it. Here are rules by which we all must abide.

All Trialists/Members must register on the Forums, There is no excuse. If you miss guild events that are posted on the forums then it’s your own fault.

Use of TeamSpeak is required. You do not need to speak but listening is required. Please contact an officer if you do not know the Server details.

Decent level of behaviour on any chat channel. No senseless spam or Racist/Sexist remarks or comments.

If a member is working against the interests of the guild, be it upsetting members or sabotage of guild progress then their membership can be terminated without warning.

If possible help fellow guild members with Quests/Advice/PvP if requested.

Renegade's are expected to help out their fellow Guild members with PvP if at all possible. Communication is a must, make sure you state number of enemy players and levels. If you are not busy (By busy i mean in a instance/dungeon or Raid) please come to the assistance of any guildmate, exceptions to this rule would be if the Freeporters are too low for you to attack or numbers purely outweigh any assistance. I cannot understate the value of communication. If you cannot come to a guildmates assistance please tell them so they can try and run from the fight rather than wait for help that is not coming.

Any member who disagrees with any of the above rules must voice their concerns to the Guild Leader who will bring it up with the Officer Group and decide on a course of action. These rules are subject to change at any time by the Guild Leader and Officer Group unanimous decision; you will be informed before any change is made.

Raiding

Requirements to be eligible to join a raid for contested or instanced raid bosses:

Must be able to listen on TS
Must be of the appropriate level, or willing to mentor down for the raid target
Must be fully repaired, fed and watered prior to the beginning of the raid, and have enough supplies to last the full raid duration
Must be main character (unless raid leader specifically asks for an alt in case of problems with raid class setup)

TeamSpeak Discipline

A 3~4 hour raid session with nothing but a raid leader giving out some orders on TS is going to get boring real fast, so some chatting on TS is ok, within sensible limits - but it is also quite important that the raid leader can actually break through and get things done. People don't always have the common sense to be quiet when it's needed.

Channel break

The raid leader (and only the raid leader) can call a channel break. Whenever the raid leader calls "channel break", everybody should be quiet unless they have something really important to say.

Examples of really important stuff:
"FP'ers incoming from behind!"
"MT stunned, hold DPS".
"MT linkdead... off tank pickup the mob, DPS hold".

Examples of not-so-important stuff:
"I need a heal!"
"25K Apocalypse CRIT OMG!"
"Demion's squire has a nice arse!"
"Does anyone know how to setup sendmail on a Red-hat 7 kernel."

Channel break lasts until raid leader says "channel free".
If anyone keeps jabbering during channel break, the raid leader is free to kick the player from the raid or TS. One warning is all you will get.

Also if you see something like “Command channel active on TS please be silent” announced on the raid channel, everybody should be quiet unless they have something really important to say. Silence is to be hold until notified.

Loot Policy

Standard looting

Normal group/raid rules are as follows: Every one rolls greed on tradable items and if someone needs it (to improve their equipment or skills) they will announce it on party/raid chat and the winner of the random roll WILL trade the item to the player. In the event of 2 or more people showing an interest in the same tradable item a /random 1 100 will be done with the winner receiving the item. If a No-Trade item drops nobody will roll unless they can actually justify the need for the item. If you can’t use it don’t roll. But be careful when you roll and make certain that everyone knows your reason to roll for it. If a Tradable item isn’t needed by anyone then the winner will decide what to with the item, be it vendor fodder, guild bank, or alt twinking.
