Well, it seems my internet is slower than it should be. I'm getting lag in games (it was just BF2 SF but now it's everything) and also slow downloads, kery video streams etc.

I have just reinstalled Windows with a new motherboard and graphics card. Could this be causing it? What do I do to fix it?

My internet has seemed a little slower recently as well... might just be general net traffic.

Im gonna assume you are using BT.... or a ISP using BT's infrastructure.

I have been getting the same thing. BF2 is spiking to 370~ ping every 20 seconds.

This is all caused because the main BT router in the midlands to which i personally connect straight to is having a spazz attack. Its building up all the packets and then releasing them in one big burst.

Its been like that for about a day now.

Never had a problem with Blueyonder, although they've been bought by NTL so expect any sembelance of service to go downhill very quickly.

Sadly up here in Scotland I'm on BT.

Trouble with having 10mb is that you aint never gonna reach the full D/Ling potential because (A) Most P2P users dont have anymore than 256k upload. (B) Torrent users have the same prob.

So all in all... unless you d/l alot from places like Fileplanet you arnt gonna use more than 4mb out of the 10mb speed
