Thanks to power outages my Flatron795FT+ recived a tad too much voltage and is now flipping colours.
Since I will prolly want to buy LCD now, which one would you sugggest ? Price range is 300€-350€ and I'd prefer good 17' over shitty 19'.
edit:
I'm a total nooblet when it comes to LCDs so a little explanation would be welcome ;)

Not sure if this is in your price bracket, but it looks damn nice: Dell Ultrasharp 2005FPW 20" widescreen LCD (http://accessories.euro.dell.com/sna/ProductDetail.aspx?sku=29082&c=uk&category_id=6198&cs=ukdhs1&image_flag=True&l=en&s=dhs&show_summary=False&page=productlisting.aspx) :)

Since youre a gamer I would just like to say MINNEMUM:
19" and 16ms or lower(lower is better) response time!!!
Any less dosent realy make economical sence. Also since LCD is slower than CTR screens you realy need 16ms or lower to not notice it on the screen in games, but its no sence ether to get a new CTR screen, if you where thinking that. Buy new = LCD. :)

JoJo that is not exactly true...
I run on a 25ms LCD and its fine for any game i play... including CSS
Volw if you gonna get a flatpanel just make sure its an LG panel inside... as they make the best.

Sure, its not imposible to play games whit a 25ms, but I realy dont see any sence getting a screen that has higer ms than 16ms when youre getting a new LCD today. I would in anycase not buy a LCD 25ms screen if it was meant for gaming, but maby am picky.
I still use a CRT screen for gaming and will probaly until it breaks or LCD 19" 8/16ms becomes cheaper. The prices are okay today, you dont get "cheated", but I realy think they could even be a bit cheaper for the screens I view as "gaming qualified" :).

Sorry JoJo, but unless you have extended experience with 25ms and 16ms LCD panels then your not gonna know how they perform.
I have played for about a year with my 25ms screen and i have had a 16ms one for a few months. Both 19".
You know which one im using? The 25ms one... I get zero ghosting on all games and there is absolutely no slowness on it.
The 25ms screen is a LG built panel and is far superior to the Samsung built one in the 16ms.
If i was you Volw, ignore all this refresh bollocks and try to get yourself a FlatPanel with a LG panel inside.

Well I was thinking about LG myself (this one survived 6+ years).
So far I've noticed that higher contrast and brightness are better ?

Yupp... Go for one with more than 60Hz refresh rate in VGA mode... You should get about 15Hz more in DVI mode.
