8 hours of "rest" (i.e. your character being in a town or tavern, while logged off or staring at AH) = 1 blop of "rested xp"

You can save up a maximum amount of 15 blops i.e. one and a half level. That's 120 hours of "rest" to get the maximum amount saved up.

So on the theory of creating alts and getting rest xp:
It'll only help you for up to 1.5 levels at a time. Letting a level 1 character gain rest xp just means you'll have to kill 2 wolves less to gain level 2 :)

If you're going to do it that way (swapping between multiple characters so you're playing a "rested" character all/a majority of the time), I suggest you level each character up to level ~20, then start doing it that way.

I.e. create 3 characters at launch.
Level 'em all to 20 in no particular order.
Park the two you're not playing in an inn so they gather rest exp while you're playing with the third.
Once one character is out of "rest xp", swap to one of the others. Depending on how much you play you might be able to play with double xp all the time that way.

I think we should try to stay within the same level range as much as possible, so people who play a lot could play on multiple chars, while people who play less could stick to one, like you suggested on the old forum.
