:D
First off... Most clan matches will be 4v4 or 6v6...
So tbh i think we should mainly be working in pairs.
One guys keeps and eye out front the other watches his back.
When moving in a group of four we should drop into a diamond formation.
That will give us the mose coverage with at least being able to bring 2 guns to bear on any threat....

1. yes, the dimond formation is good, but it cannot be always applied on corners etc, that is why i have drawn up this diagram.
2. they also do 5v5 right?
3. normally, the best tactic would be to stick together instead of fight in 2s

5 is the normal number I know of, atleast here in norway, and in maps like "de_dust2 " 4 players aint really enough (2 each side one middle) as ct that is :)

Moving slowly around corners where you think you will contact the enemy will just get you owned.
The CS leadership are now moderators of the CS forums.

diamond formation is the best formation outdoors. it keeps u well dispersed and on different lat-longs from each other so u cant get sprayed by a single MG or fraged by a single grenade.
u always need to take corners fast. moving slow presents your arms and legs to the enemy before you can see around the corner which is a very bad thing. u need to get the nade in as late as possible, it should be bounced a lot so that it flashes as soon after the enemy see it as possible (this stops them from having time to duck and avoid getting flashed). as soon as it blows u need to be in and shooting.
if someone has a shotgun, pistol, SMG or MG then they need to be at the front as these weapons are best at close quarters. also with these, especially pump shotty, u should move in, shoot, pull out. then the 2nd man moves in and finishes them off.
when moving around corners its a good idea if one man crouches next to the corner. other man stands againt back wall and sprints across with knife, preferably to cover. when he gets half way across, crouched guy jumps out into a crouch just next to the corner and kills the enemy who is tracking his running teammate.
flanking is also very important. use snipers (not neccesarily with sniper rifles) to distract an enemy at lnog range. they get into a sniping match while a teammate creeps up on the enemy and runs in blazing. ofcourse this is best if he comes from the side. use comms to tell teammates where the enemy is so that they can come from a different direction and catch them off guard. try and attack the enemy from the side and rear. for isntance, on cs_italy u can jump over the bridge to get at enemies from behind or jump out of a house window to attack from the side while they think ur still inside.

Fancy Forumations, such as squares, dimonds, full sized big tops with trampolenes and clowns imo take to long to work on, and are hard to get right and wast to much time. The closest, at least imo you get to formations, is having a few people spaced out behind each other so as not to shoot each other in the back.
When coming round cornors, if you have one go out wide while one comes in close it can work, but as has been said it has to be done fast, otherwise you get shot which slows you down more.
Try downloading some demos off clanbase and watch how people play

in our training sessions - we'll generally just go over map specific tactics making sure that everyone knows terms and good areas etc.

can someone find some maps of the maps and edit them with lines marking out areas and with name tags for each area.
ill make a post with some useful jargon and TS-based-SOPs we should follow.
but for now:
always say "[number of enemy killed]enemy(ies) down, [location]" when u kill someone
always say "[your name] down, [location]" when you die
refer to bomb sites as Alpha and Bravo as this saves confussion.
you might need to say "[location] clear" when a route, area or bomb site is free of enemies
always say "enemies at [location]" if you see an enemy or "enemies heading to [location] from [location]" if you see them moving.

Aye Vasq, thats about right, Even if you don't know who killed you/how many killed you, shout out where you died anyway if we know where you died we have a rough idea of who killed you.

aye - this is good.
getting good commands up is essential.

As far as Grenades go:
Buy flashgrens, don't bother with frag unless you got plenty of cash, its unlikely you will kill the enemy with one.
Don't chuck a into a doorway / round a corner unless you intend to charge round and 0wn everyone whilst they are blinded. The only exemption for this when you think you might get sniped and want to distract the bad man with the big gun.

when buying teh nades, i always buy flash first. if i have enough money next, ill buy frags and then smoke.
i use flashs the normal way, but if i get in a me vs. 2+ situation, ill flash myself (and them) and then use my amazing skills to hide.
frags are good when you go for a reload - chuck one at him and you'll hopefully kill him.

frags can be useful in certain situations. ur unlikely to kill anything but u can injure them. nades work well when thrown at spots where u know enemies will appear (like in the dome-roofed building in one of the dust maps) or at camping spots. i always take one if ive got loads of cash but if not i just stick with a flash or maybe 2.
smokes are great for pissing off CTs by oobscuring the bomb :P

One thing to remember: At least one person should get a Defuse kit before grenades. If you have the money to spare between one or the other, someone should be getting one.

cs is mainly played 5v5 but although you do have 4v4 ladders in some leagues like CB but ive never seen a 6v6 ladder...and have at least one defuse kit for each bombsite...i prefer buying a defuse over a nade it means you dont have to rush and make a mistake when you need to clutch then defuse...also GA if you a chuck a nade at someone theres always the possibility that it will just bounce off them and come striaght back to you (happens in normal cs anyway) so just take out your knife when youve got no other option

No specific 6v6 ladders, but most CB ladders allow you to play with more if both clans agree to it.
