I'm chuffed with my Plantronics Audio 90. Cheaper than a Senneheiser but with excellent sound quality, good mic, and the most comfortable headset around. However, it's got two headphones, not one, and it isn't USB. But USB headsets are expensive and one-head-phones ones are near non-existant.

bah, is there a SOCOM 3? cos i have SOCOM 1 (sister broek that headset) SOCOM 2 (sister probally played a part in that headsets way to demise) and i dont want to have 2 copys of either SOCOM 1 or 2.
i could just get a sound card and config it so the onboard sound is for voice and soundcard is for normal speakers, but i dont have any free PCI slots... well i have one but the fridge on my graphics card covers it >_<

Snap a headphone off a regular headset and have speackers running on your PC for the game sounds, then buy a really really cheap scabby old PC for like 50 quid and run TS on that with your one phoned headset plugged in.

Sennheiser pc160 or pc165 (for surround sound) should be goddam great.
Got the pc155 usb myself and it works wonders. plantronics breaks too easily :P
