Attaching second hard drive

Ok, you may remember ages ago my computer fucked up and I got a new hard drive, keeping my old one disconnected. I now need to reconnect the old drive to get soem files. I currently have the new hard drive with a jumper in the far left position (looking straight at it from inside the case) and the old hard drive with no jumpers. Do I just plug the SATA cable's other plug into the old drive and that's it or what?

Hmm are you sure the old drive is a SATA drive and not a ATA?

If it is a SATA drive just hook it up to the second SATA interface. If you have some problems booting try looking in your BIOS. And make sure that the computer is booting on the new drive and not on the old.
