Laptops

I'm looking for a laptop of around 500-600 pounds.

Preferably, I'd like it custom built. Does anyone know anywhere in the UK that custom builds laptops and is good?

Also, what good laptop companies are there?

I know zilch about laptops.

As I said, it must be 500-600 pounds and my mni specs are: wireless internet compatible, 15", have a 40gb hard drive, 64mb graphics card or better, 1ghz processor, 256mb RAM, DVD drive.

But tha't absolute minimum, I want better.

please explain to me why they suck ^^
as far as I know they are compitable with most games now days, they run better, their install program is nicer and their laptops got a much longer batery time than any computer..
