View Full Version : We need to get sorted.... NOW

We need to come to some decisions about our CSS Clan playing.

Vice Captains

GA needs to come up with his choices quick.
I dont think it was set in stone on the old forums.

Sargeants

These people would serve as squad leaders for the actual ingame situation.
Their job is to generally keep the players in a good shape and take charge when the Capt and V-Capts arnt around!

Ladder(s)

I say Ladders because we really have enough players to field in 2 sets of ladders.

What i suggest is that we have all our players registered for Enemy Down and Clan Base.

Then according to availability and a sort of squad rotation based on who seems to do well on which map we sort out teams for the night....

Practice Times

We could also do with setting a DEDICATED practice time(s).

Two sets of times would be best as not everyone will be able to make some times.

Oooh someone else has caught onto the ball other than me.

Sorry ludi, its just I've been saying this from day one :p

I can easily get us set up on ED/CB now, and pass over command when people are ready to go, I just don't want to without someone approving it first.

From the list on the other thread

Captain
GuardianAnge1

Vice Captain
PvtVasquez
Ludicrouse
Dengar

Thats what We got, I suggest we stick with just you dengar and Vasq for now, work on getting other people the further we get ingame.

As for squad-leaders, that needs a few friendlys just to see who is more suited to it.

I also suggest we set one (or more) of the "VC's" in an Administrative role specificaly dealing with CB/ED. Alternativly we could just drag other members into this.

One more thing, we should establish some sort of rule that simply says, if someone turns up 2 mins before a game or whatever, even if they are "Deemed better at the next map" they should not be allowed to play the game unless they specificaly said in advanced that they would be there at said time. It is hardly fair on those waiting to miss out because they are not though of as "Good" for a specific map to be passed over to someone who just showed up.

Of course, if there is no one else, or no one else wants to play or even if we are a player short then thats fine, its just when other people are waiting it hardly seems fair.

And finaly (And most importantaly):
BE on IRC, Idle there all the time. It is almost essential that we are on IRC for any league/ladder

not sure we need seargents. The cumalative of us 4 would be online most evening anyway.

fluf, if you want you can be the 'administrator' since you seem to be keen + knowing how to deal with everything.

we DEFINATELY need to start training. Learn commands, tactics etc. Im gonna be taking pictures of maps to set this up.

All get on IRC now..

(fluf - you may wanna get dengar to move your IRC tutorial to this forum)

So your choices of VC are set in stone then?

Just need to know which/how many Ladders we are going to be in....

I would be up for serganting however, I have a quite good understanding how fps games (Maybe not how to play them, as you guys know) but how tacs work. A vice captain would be too much work for me, but leading a squad is something im always up for.

Basically same as Daymare i'd like to get into the tactic's side of things but have no idea about how to arrange matches

Oh its quite simple, if somewhat irritating, you join their IRC channel or they join yours and if its not pre-arranded its basicaly haggeling for servers, match settings, player numbers, and (depending on the game, not sure what it is with cs) weapon limits.
