Just been reading Morgys post on the official werner forum - sounding like a right old cry baby if you ask me.
Anyway, we were there yesterday, I dont recall us going for a zero base attempt, every faction will go to a continent to try and cap it... so I am not sure why he was crying.
As a VS CR5, I find it embarrassing that he is blaming everyone but himself for not realising his other conts where being lost..
Your thoughts please?
Valid or not?

Personally? I don't like the idea of deliberately zero-basing anyone. I was here when we got zero-based and I thought it absolutely sucked. I also don't like going for an enemies home cont, unless it is the only place left to go. As long as their are other continents then going to an enemy home cont is like kicking a "bee-hive". Never a good idea, and you will likely get swarmed.
Cheers,
Where is that thread?

I think zero base will be there as the VS and TR always attack us on Solsar even if we have other conts (Which is kinda stupid)
Last night was a stupid call and you cant really argue the point with these guys as ther eon day and night, so its kinda hard in NC to take control as the usual CR 5 spammers will always Global waht ever they like.
I used to join in on the chat but since joining RL I really find no need to anymore.
The only time we shoudl ever zero base someone is when there really is no other place to go.
The VS seem to be getting the short straw at the moment as the TR and NC like to fight each other and find the VS an anouyance with there uber MAX's Lag Luster Lasher and GHey Biffer that seems to be so over powered. It's not a suprise that thw VS are under fire.
One thing I have noticed is that Zerg on Zerg is just a stale mate and tactics go out of the window.

I dont agree with xero basing, having been on the end of several.
However, I feel Morgys post is pointless as when we went to Amerish last night, they had 2 other continents.
This is where you can take the approach of defnding home continent at all costs, or not take is as serious because you will always have a link to fight back on.
Everyone has different views on that, I just think Morgy saying it was a double team is pathetic as when I was on as VS (before joining up with you guys) - the VS had no direction and no leadership and because of thes epoxy rules, everyone is too scared to lead anything. Its there own fault IMHO...
I enoyed the fight on Amerish, always a challenge to see how far you can get on a home continent, as you rarely win hands....

if there is a chance i take party in zero baseing Tr anytime
it is kinda harsh, it is not a very nice thing to do thou
as then zero based empire can't take 100% part in the game
think of it like waiting in Huge que to the continent..
but zero baseing simply happens, i was playing Vs yesterday and were fighting Tr on Ish. they had 2 last bases in north west. but had a large number of organized heavy armor, so it wasn't easy to move any direction
..then some cr5 noticed Nc attack Amerish (when nc had already like 5 bases) and did some silly global like need alittle help with home cony "you morons" ... so from nice fight on Ish that we were almost winning 48vs-48tr-4nc it turned into 35vs-60tr-5nc.. i didnt follow what happen after but im sure it wasnt nice

Zero basing is a sad fact of this game, it excludes many players from fighting at all for a while and I believe probably damages the player base numbers if it happens to often.
No one pays to play a game they can't play
In my opinion no one deserves to be zero based (other than a select few idiots that we really should be able to have the right to vote in game to have them teleported to a closed cavern for a private kicking)

pretty often an empire has the choice to either attack empty continents
OR attack an enemy on their last cont while fighting the other faction allready.
most people prefer the fight instead of the ghosthack. cant really blame them for that.
but as long as there are other targets where are enemies there is no need for a 3way on the last cont of an empire.

Alot of the new NC cr5's are zergers anyway all there looking for is some action. Every time we finish a cont u get the same ppl poping up on /c saying lets hit a home cont ,Not to 0 base (TBH they have no tatics to do this anyway ) but just to kick up a fight.
I'm sure its exactly the same story on the VS/TR sides too.
Having been 0 based its not nice and its not clever ,but it does bring unexpected side effects like bring the side which is being 0 base together !!

I think your dead on there NTT the new CR5's are zergers with no real tactics but the game has become a MASS all against each other game.
As long as we keep doing the harder stuff and join in with the zerg every now and then I think we keep a good balance.
I really think we should always play the tactical role.
Assist the zerg with Cavern hacks Back hack bases's on ther conts so they dont get back hacked on the pop locked cont.
Defend home conts we get a better fight that way
If we keep to this we should always get a hard fight and some really enjoyable base hacks.

to be honest, I don't mind zero basing /being zero based. However, I do not like attacking home continents, as tata said, it is more safe to go kick a bee hive :)

Well if it were the last cont to fight on... I once remeber we almost had World Domination (I think we zero based the VS and TR once long long time ago, but not sure)
But Tactical fights are better than ne zerobasing things, but I don't like that most of the time we are at the same conts, for example I love fights on Fors or Amie, and they have just been taken away from us.
So I hope for the new set ups the devs are developing, they will get us some tactical fights, I hope!
