Just got broadband at my new appartment after numerous fuckups from different ISP's (5 months of waiting).

Since I'm sharing it with those I live with (on different floors), we ordered a wireless router/switch or whatever it is. I forgot to order some wireless netadapters to put in my PC so they can recieve the signal from the router.

Thing is I don't know what kind of card I need to buy and looking through some websites didn't help at all. So any help would be appreciated.

Cheers
Jega

What kinda router do you have?

Phoning the company that you bought the router from and ask what kind of card you need to buy, they should know :)

normally if they supply a router they seem to supply network cards too that are compatible with their router

If you didnt want to use a internal card you could use an adapter that plugs into your usb port, see link below

www.dabs.com/uk/Search2/results.htm?searchPhrase=wireless+usb+adapter (http://)

I use one works fine.

The signal will be weakest weakest above and below the router, they transmit outwards, not up. Floor above and below should be ok tho :)
