so, I'm getting a new computer, and i'm in a bit of a hard place right now.

I am looking at SHUTTLE mainly. They make portable (thats what i need) desktops (since they're small and all). I would get this, but now comes along ACER. They've used the new Centrino (dont say it..) chip, 'Sonoma'. Sonoma is PCIexpress and is very nice. This laptop is light, well built and genrally very nice.

You can find the Shuttle HERE (http://eu.shuttle.com/en/desktopdefault.aspx/tabid-72/170_read-787/) and the ACER laptop review with benchmark HERE (http://www.digit-life.com/articles2/acer-tm-8100/)

PLEASE HELP!

also, please be constructive, dont just flame laptops for playing games on.

(if you want to see JUST the benchmark for the ACER laptop, it starts near the bottom of the linked page, ie, HERE (http://www.digit-life.com/articles2/acer-tm-8100/) )

Considering your track record with laptops for gaming I suggest you think about the shuttle... :p

Hehe im with deng on this one. To be honest with you, I never found a laptop that is good for gaming, the screen is bad, the keyboard is iffy, and you don't have a real mouse unless you bring it. To improve this, you need to bring em along, which I bet you always do. Then I really don't see the difference between a shuttle and a laptop anymore, except that the shuttle can be uppgraded, and is normally square shaped instead of long and flat :O

I also found that laptops rarely do as good as their benchmarks say.
I can't really comment on shuttles, because I never really tried one :)
