i had planned to join you at the PvP server, but since i quest in redridge i was ganked so many times by level 45+ chars that i really loose my motivation for WoW...

IF it changes i will play:

As for the ganking in RedRigdeMountens... Alwayes have many quests active, 1 so when you kill a mob getting somewhere you just mite have killed the right mob for one of youre quests and 2 if theres a ganking squad around you can alwayes do another quest some where else in that map area.

But ganging up on a L30 Ork that travels to Redrige to gank and then gets "countergankent" instead is a nice break from the some times monotone quests. Thats why I like PvP. "Charge!!" :D

for me thats the reason why i wanna start on pvp and if i doesnt like it switch to pve and not vice versa.
better start with pvp at release than when everyone else is allready lvl40+

ok here comes my final plan for release :confused:

Main Character:
Human Paladin - holy specced
Miner, Skinner (replaced by Engineer at lvl40)

Alt Character:
Night Elf Rogue
Alchemy, Herbalism OR Leatherworker, Skinner

Skinning doesnt make much money, heavy leather self for under 30s for tons of em, only mithril, truesilver and thorium are worth it and in an early stage iron since it is required for blacksmith quests

I like LW, it's a good profession for several points:

you can craft your own leather items (decent at the beginning, very good at lvl 25+)

you can craft armor kits usable for all type of armor

some items are regeant/quest items, you can sell them at the AH for a decent price

lvl 35+ items can be sold to vendors for 50+s, it's a good way to make money for your mount.

every type of leather can be craft to next lvl leather (light leather -> medium leather -> heavy leather -> thick leather) everywhere, so if you're running out of space in your bags, you can craft your lower lvl leather to the next lvl (this whole sentence is crappy, I hope you understood my point :))

LW specialisations at lvl 225+ are good for druids (buffs when changing forms) mainly and rogues. There's a whole mail set for paladins which is not that bad.



About our class, I think we need more healers at the release.

PS: I'm a bit disapointed by the bad reputation of this server.
Seeing most peeps will go for the PVE, I wonder if our guild on the PVP server will be viable. :(

lets see who joins which server in release.
atm it looks like 50/50 but not everyone is in this usergroup yet.
if one guild is too weak to survive we can look for solutions later.
would prefer one strong guild too but pvp/pve is like 2 different games.

I already have made quite a few non guild friends, that are very interested in the pvp legion (three or four so far) which will all be applying when it goes release.

And btw, I cna't live without grish's LW if im to make some use of my enchanting :D

tbh ill just play where shy/daymare/grish/nyana/disturb/vanch play as I have most fun teaming up with them. The whole PVP vs PVE thing doesnt really matter that much to me

BTW - Just to inform:
Ganking == Group Killing (Group vs 1 or maybe 2)
Ganking != Killed by high level (High level beating up a lowbie - lowbie killing)

No idea why ganking is being used for the wrong thing.

Should we choose to go Horde... It'd prolly be a Tauren Hunter with LW/Skinning or Mining/Engi or mb LW/Engi later levels.

Planning on starting on the PVP server but if the ganking gets to bad i will change to PVE server. Not sure which class yet.

Im curently on the PvE server with Ironman and Niko atm but I will be joining M3ph1sto on the PvP server for Retail as a Turen Shamen for a change as im currently a dwarf rogue.

I think "going Alliance" is actualy something we all agreed on, both PvE and PvP, so if you wanna play whit RL you should have youre Alt Hord on another server since you can only have one side pr server. Just so you know.
