Reasons for admin to Kick/Ban from our server.

ok we need to set out rules for this i think here are some things possibly people may kick on other servers and should we use these on ours?:

1. Let clan members onto the server

2. People trying to "fast track" to get points

3. People being idiots

4. People having a higher score than you (lol)

5. People who camp bases.

6. someone who keeps killing you thus annoying you.

7. because you have asked people 3 times to balence the teams so u thought you would do it for them.

8.because they stole your plane/helicopter when you was waiting for it for like 5min.

9. Creating a kick vote agenst a clan member.

10. swearing on chat and being offencive.

11. being german (ie speaking a language on chat admin does not understand).

12. NON clan memebr with a ping higher than 120.

13. Advertising rival clans on our server.

14. a clan member being punished.. unless he realy does deserve it.

15. an offencive name or someone pretending to be a clan member. (resulting in ban obsiously)

add some of your own and shouldwe use all of the above (i know there is soem stuid ones there)

I agree with kicking for reasons 1,2,3 (depends what you mean being an idiot),10 and 12 (only if it is causing server lag).

4. you cant use this knaggsy otherwise there would be no one left on server :p
5. only agree with this if they are just camping and not even trying to take the flag.

7. thats what autobalance is for
8. well just keep pressing E.
9. Depends if the clan member is being a dick or not. Most people ignore these votes anyway. Anyway I think this would be covered under reason 3.
11. well if they are speaking a language you dont understand its obviously not meant for you.

Here is my adapted list that I'd agree with:

5. because you have asked people 3 times to balence the teams so u thought you would do it for them

6. taking planes/helicopters when they can't fly and immediately crash it into the sea and do this repeatedly

7. Punishing or creating kick votes against clan members

8. being abusive

9. being german (ie speaking a language on chat admin does not understand).

1. Getting punished for a TK, Ok I like to drive around like a bull in a china shop whenever I get a tank and everynow and again I might TK someone. I dont do it on purpose and I always apologize, but one of my pet hates are the tossers who click punish straight away or even after I apologize. Its a sure way for me to kick someone.

2. Getting punished for a TK, Ok its here twice but it really gets up my nose and is a guarentee to piss me off severely and start abusing people on chat.

Hmm might be an unfortunate example when you consider that the RL has mainly german rootes mate. ;)

RL has a screening process. If we TK, if we're idiots, if we're incompetent, we don't get in. Therefore it is always wrong to punish an RL member, because we are not Tkers, idiots or incompetent, it will always be a genuine mistake.

Another reason to kick is when they stand infront of your plane or shoot your own vehs because they dint get them.

If your going to make some rules you need to list them on the Server so people will understand why.

I agree with all of these although I do think you should give people a chance first.

Dont just kick for the hell of it.


If the admin is going to kick he needs to say so first. This will pass down some rules to the other players so we dont get any hassle

Those peopel make me want to kill... repeatedly... expesially when you get in a plane and they use the M95 to kill you and take it :mad: i find the funnyest thing to do is wait for them to come into you're sights then kick them and watch the plane crash :p

Last night I was driving in my vehicle, a guy sprints infront of my vehicle and i get a TK i said sorry and he punished me.. That pisses me off so I started a kickvote for him :P

Then he started one on me..

yer kongi kicked him for ya.. and fast trackign is where liek 4 guys or two guys.. well they kill one annother revive and do it again to get a high score realy fast.. getting points for kills and revives.

I dont know about you ... but when i played BF1942 we hade a unspoken rule.

- no baserape (e.g. when players roam the uncapeble enamy base).
- no spawnrape (e.g. when players stand and guard spawn points at a flag (allways the same so you know) and kill of the spawning players instantly).

I know its tempting to do the above for easy kills, but how fun is it if your on the wrong team. :rolleyes:
If you broke one of these rules you usually got kicked directly, on the BF1942 servers I played on.

On of the hard things in BF2 with the no baserape rule is that you usually have UAV, radar and artillary in the uncapeble base.
But if your just in to kille the spec ops objectivs, and get out of there after they have been destroyed things shoulde be ok.

The server message has a very low character limit I believe, so it's pretty much either "Welcome to the Renegade Legion server - http://www.renegade-legion.org" or "The Renegade Legion reserves the right to kick you for whatever reason"
