View Full Version : DKPs - Quest items

There are a number of items in the 40-man raids that do very little on their own, Currently the Hunter epic quest items, Priest Epic quest items and the Bindings of the Windseeker
Because it's no use spreading these items around the guilds, we're limiting further drops to any players who already have part of the quests. If no-one in the raid has any part of that quest, it goes to the highest bidder as normal
If something drops that's for a quest someone's started (i.e. the other half of the Bindings of the windseeker) Only those with one part in their possession may bid, but the minimum bid equals the bid they paid for the first part
Example
Melian paid 50pts for one half of the Bindings of the Windseeker. Currently, should the other half drop, it's his for 50pts. Should the first half drop again, and (for example) Isador win it for 70pts, they could both bid on the second part, the minimum bid being 50pts.

I like the rule, but one question:
If you don't have enough points for the minimum bid, can someone else get the item, or could you go into negative points?

I've had to look at what that drop actually did. And if you get the other half you'll get a Legenday sword called: Thunderfury. (thottbot (http://www.thottbot.com/?i=40513) )
It looks nice but I think it would be VERY dangerous to use in any highlevel instance. Since the lightning jumps you might unsheep, unfreeze or whatever a monster.
But I would love to see it "on".

Iron: I think it will take Melian quite some time to farm the 100 arcanite needed to make it (thats assuming that we get lucky and have the left binding drop), so expect to wait a while... :)

Read the proc text again. It does 300 damage to the first target, then reduces nature resistance on other targets by 25, but it doesn't do damage to them.

@Seree in Dutch:
Sorry for Dutch :) My fasser is Dutch :p

Yeah but are you sure that that won't "activate" them?

Non-damaging debuffs do not cancel crowd control.

Different type of quest.
Those Brilliant Scales you pay per DKP raid for 1 point START bid, more if people want it.
And the Cloak you can make with it doesn't count for quests.
The difference between a quest item like the bindings of the windseeker and Brilliant Chromatic Scales is VERY large, and bindings are ALOT harder to obtain.
So only the really big things are counted like this (or the VERY extreme items to obtain for a quest, Chromatic Carapace and Hide of the Beast do not count).
