right, well, so...

getting annoyed waiting for hours trying to get all of us on the same ranked server?

Well, I am.

So, I've gone ahead and bought us our own ranked server from multiplay.co.uk. It will take about 1 day to set up, so we should have it by tomorrow afternoon.

It is ranked, and debranded, so we can call it whatever we want :)

If you're feeling nice, feel free to donate to this. The server cost £81 for a month, so any donations would be nice. I'm happy paying for around £50 so if a couple people could donoate 5-10 pounds, I'd be gratefull. The more donations, the better :)

Once the server is up, I'll update this post with the info needed along with my paypal account.

I know that some of you might get annoyed now that we have 3 servers, but to be honest, we all want to play on a ranked server to get our guns.

there was a possability of having my server ranked coz the hosting people have applyerd to do ranked servers... and if so my server will become ranked..

but its nice how many players is it... let me think £81.. so 32 players.

*sign may as well get rid of mine and ironmans servers.. no1 ever uses em anyways.

over 40 servers were ordered yesterday the earlyest for the RRC server will be tomorrow about this time latest thursday.

i reformatted yesterday and havnt gotten around to reinstalling it, its a big drain on my hard drive so i need to clean all my backup drive before i do reinstall it

my playing times are really wierd atm, seems i dont get on b4 midnight and play till 3-4. hopefully will get this sorted soon and fit in with rest of you. until then im playing on ranked servers to get myself some guns :)

IIRC MPUK are almost sold out of server space on the current rack that they have for Ranked servers, and afaik they are going to get new servers for their rack rather than cram more registered servers onto the boxes.

Cancel the server order. Get a non-ranked server. We can't use ranked servers for clan matches or practices because you can't password them.

What that means is that you can switch it to unranked if you want to password it, however, you need to do this through ClanForge.

EA have banned passwords on ranked servers due to exploiting. Some companies still have passworded ranked servers but they are being cut off by EA. Stats won't be counted from these servers and players who play on them may have their accounts banned.

As fluff says, you can have your ranked server made unranked and passworded if you want.

well thats ok isnt it, just flick between ranked and unranked. ie have it ranked and open all day long to amass points, then when we wanna train or have clan match flick on the pswd, that also means if we get beated badly in a clan match (like thats ever going to happen :p ) then nobody will know :)

No, I don't think it works liek that. It's like "I'd like to switch my ranked server to an unranked one please" "certainly sir, thast'll be done in 24 hours" "I want to change it back to ranked" "fuck off, you've already changed it once"

Cuz enabling the locked weapons is nowt but a text command.

Its a command, not sure if you CAN do it through rcon, because IIRC your basicaly giving up a fair bit of admin privilages for a ranked server, you can however do it through (your best friend ludi) ClanForge :p

Not sure if the ranked stuff about admin was only with US servers, though I'm sure I read somthing about it.
