Opportunity comes knocking....A.K.A - Recert time!

Howdy all,

Its not often that PS allows all certs to be reset, and for those of us at BR20 this means access to 23 certs from the moment you log in. With this in mind I think its important that we discuss (and decide hopefully), what certs would most benefit the group.

First, I would like to say that we shouldn't try to manage everyone's entire certs, but rather come up with some ideas for general overviews. For example, a player that has UniMax or Scattermax probably has no need of HA/Rexo. And a player that is using SA/AV might not want to try and have multiple vehicles.

So lets get the ball rolling and I will through out some ideas I was thinking about. I remember a forum post on the old forums where someone (I think it was Niko..or shy?) came up with three different cert layouts. And those were good, but I don't have access to grab them now.

Well, if we are going to stay with our "Fast reaction" team and continue to use Mossies we are definitley going to need more adv. hackers and Max suits.

This is our Max/cloaker - Cloakers can drop other places and sneak in to get the maxes or rezzes.

Well that's just my idea so far. I'm thinking for the "old school" one you could change AV for SA...choice is yours. But if everyone followed one of the three models then we would have the force we need to kick into any door. More of the Old School would be preferable to the Extreme, but the Extreme players would be the "Max" guys.

Post what you will do here so we have an idea of what we have especially the regulars as we all seem to play together alot I will cert MOssie Dropper old school but I dont see need for REXO so I will Cert something else

I think for my Archer character I will go with the "Old Skool" cert route, to have the ReXo/HA. And with my Cloaker guy I will go with the "Extreme" route.

That way when I log in I can just ask what we need more.

well if thats is so then i'd prefer to keep CE cos that coupled with my AP rounds is all i got for AV :(

But it really doesnt matter i got 4 br20 chars so i think 92 cert points is enough for any1 ;)

Was just thinking that maybe we should have certain certs that are basic, and make our chr from there on. ex. basic certs: Mossie,MA,Eng,Med.

Well, you can be.....just no boomers. And where's the fun in that? :p

Of course, with the three additional certs I think it would allow for a CE/Infil/Unimax/mossie/Adv. Hacker/Adv. Medic guy. Heavy support, in everyway that counts.

Hmmm a full powered slow ass turnspeed max vs a cloaker scatterpistol and AP raounds...

Now getting that kill as a cloaker is realy fun :)
But its fearly easy to kill hevaly damaged maxes whit scatter AP so for cloakers that havent tried it they should.

vs had an insane amount of max suits (10 of 16 guys had uni max) and nc had nothing. only the usual agile HA whores.

Not for ever though, with the new certs available you should be able to get adv med with the extra cert points? (unless my maths is wrong again)

Talking of which, I keep forgetting what things are going to cost now, as they've made changes and as yet have no idea what to get as a load out :(

Thanks, exactly what I needed, so mosquito will stay as it is at the moment (when certed for on its own)?

That means I can keep Echorr as it is now (has a spare cert already so that will get absorbed by the UniMax)

As for Echor though, if we are going mossie flying more, I'm still not decided :(

Yes Mosquito on its own is still 3 cert points, but there is something FuSs missed: ATV and Harasser are now 1 point certs, instead of 2 points.

I would normally be an advance medic with CE and maybe heavy assault, so I can assist in combat and work on the support side.
Having played a little bit, I beleive maybe advanced hacking would benefit, along with AMS. Still gonna be a while, but at the moment, I am enjoying Cloaking with boomers, basically acting as a lookout and doing spec ops etc etc.
Also have that AA cover which is so greatly required at times!

i find that a good all round loadout for grunting, but i miss AV for maxes but love sniping outdoors. so with the 3 extra cert points, i'm gonna get AV back for gal drops etc.

ok i decerted scatter max again (will get it back at BR23!).
cant live without adv medic. its way too important for our drops.

the question is now: HA or AV ?
i keep SA for sure (thumper worked damn well in our tower drop squads) but i play solo a lot (in the morning hours when noone else is on) and i miss the jackhammer. SA works great in a team but solo i have some problems with it.
but then im 100% sure VS will show up with tons of max suits as soon as i dropped AV. pissed me off the last time when i had only rocklet against 10 uni max n00blets.

the last few times we dropped a tower with our mosqs i noticed that most people attacked enemy max units with their jackhammers.
dont you have AV or SA ?

my standard drop gear is JH with 1 AP box available but i have a favourite with 1 deci in it aswell. i could switch the deci for phoenix but then i need to losse the rek
