Lists the players connected to the server. This command lists the players ID number, their player name and if the player is remote it also lists the players IP number. The players ID number is also available on the Scoreboard / Manage Tab

You can choose from a selection of time outs:
- Entering 'perm' means that the ban is permanent. This is the default if no time out is entered.
- An integral number meaning the number of seconds the ban will be active (i.e. 3600 means one hour).
- Entering 'round' means the ban is active until the next map.
- A whole number preceded by a colon (i.e. :1234567), meaning the epoch expiration time of the ban (number of seconds since 1 Jan 1970).
- admin.banPlayerKey <player ID number> [timeout]
Enter the player ID number you would like to ban. Bans the player from this server by using their CD key hash. You can also specify a time out. See admin.banPlayer for the time out list.

just had a look at www.multiplay.co.uk
we can get a 36 man server on their retail package for £75.00 a month. This includes a free 36man TS server (even though we dont need it) and the option to password-lock our server. This is what we get:
- Excellent connectivity both across the UK and from abroad
- High spec server hardware, constantly monitored to ensure servers always have enough resources for optimum gameplay
- Cutting edge "ClanForge" web control panel interface to fully manage your server
- Advanced server management system including rapid deployment of new patches, mods and maps across all servers, and automatic restarts on server crashes.
- Fast and courteous technical support by email, online (irc) and telephone with our experienced full time support staff
- Free teamspeak 2 voice comms channel with as many slots as your clanserver
- Free 50MB webhosting package with every clanserver
___
We should also consider getting a ranked server so that we can get some, uhh, ranks..

We've been over this before, with CS:S, even though CF2 is somewhat better, and has FTP access, its still CF. But in general MPUK servers are quite nice (None of this jolt "Brilliant connectivity with 500 packet loss" pish)

£75 is expencive
its £65 for a jolt
or u can get a 20 man through jolt for i think about £45
or the server i have well its nothign for this month and we can keep it after for £30 a month.. which is pritty cheap for a 20 player and il get him to give us a ts server also but i know we dont need it.
and on mine u get a 2GB FTP where we can upload new maps and mods.

Ok, right now I'm typing this on the new server so I guess that means its up and running guys.... Ohhhh and I love the SPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED.... :D :D :D :D
Atm. I haven't started the BF2 server on it but I will as soon as I get home and start my pc tonight. (Wife still has to go to bed.)
The reason I don't start it straightaway is the fact that I want someone to help me set it up in the right way. And I still don't know if I should use the Retail or demo version for now? I guess I should use the demo since I don't have the game yet Muahahahahaha. ;)
Later I'll give you the IP address also. And I'm sorry to say this but I'll be the only one able of remotely connecting to it.
So cya.

Guys why buy one when we might be able to get one off ironman? for cheap/free. If it doesnt work out then by all means look for a server to buy but till then use his or Knaggsy's

I was just thinking that, If we can use Ironmans for the time being why pay for one ?
Ironman, you said your server was only temporary, would RL helping with the running costs enable you to keep it going longer ?
knaggsy
Wednesday, 22nd June 2005, 16:49
if i was ironman i woudnt want a server using up all my bandwidth.
my server can be for longer if RL help with costs lol (which is no more than £30/m, but its free for a month and a bit.).. but it depends how it runs.. if ironmans server or my server dosnt work too well its not worth paying to keep it.

I thought Ironman was one of those bloody continental Europeans who get some ridiculous broadband connection , unlike us chav Brits who have to put up with 512k or 1meg as standard ?

hes on a 6mb pipe isnt he? or is it 8MB?
he minght have a rediculas high connection.. but im sure he dosnt want us using some of it.. would u want us draining 6mb of your shiny 8mb line? 24/7 or would u want it for yourself to do high speed downloads and such.

oh he on a 1gbit which is...
in terms of mb.. is 10MB? my calculations mignth be wrong igve me a sec to work it out.
*gets calculator out*
ok gigabit = 1024 mebibyte
1mebibyte = 1024 kibibytes
therefore 1048576 kibibytes
1 kibibyte = 1024 bytes
therefore 1073741824 bytes
now 1kilobyte = 1024 bytes
therefore 1048576 kilobytes
and 1megabyte = 1024 kilobyte
therefore speed is 1024 mb pipe
thats a nice pipe.. i dont think he will miss much of it.
coz speeds of the actual conenction are difide the conenction by 8.
so 1024/8 = 128mb/s
and for us on 2mb connections which use kb/s thats 131072kb/s
thatsi n comparison to our 240kb/s on 2mb line.. bah thats 546.13333333(recuring 3) times faster than our 2mb conections in the uk. and thats download
for upload weo nly get 256 (thats 30kb/s) so for upload its. 4369.06666666(6 recuring) times faster than our upload. providing the pipe is the same speed both ways...
now where can i get one of these?

oh he on a 1gbit which is...
in terms of mb.. is 9.5MB? my calculations mignth be wrong igve me a sec to work it out.
what you actyoually get out of it?
probbally about 100mb/sec in terms of dowanloading, Server and nodes allowing.
in the UK you can just about reach 1mb/sec on a 10meg connection, that was NGFL's schools connection and it is shared between 3 Schools in the area where I worked for a short period of time.
60 meg demo in 1 minute, however files seemed to be corrupt after download :(
Really wish BT would upgrade the backbone connections and provide everyone with a beetter connection.
Currently their upgrading everyone's connection from 512k to 1meg but halfing tthe download limit, lol.
Glad im with my ISP, doing the same but without the limit :D

exactly i was saying this to many people..
BT came to me (my evil server provider dont make me explain ill waite a ton of crap about em) and said
"in january we will be upgrading your lien to 2mb line. free of crarge"
i thought, ah nice.. but i know BT are pain in the ass so lets read the fine print.
"however we will restrict yoru downlaod from unlimmited to 15gb/month"
hmm.. i thought, and phoend bt..
18 people later i managed to get em to remove the limmit and give me a 1mb connection liek i signedup for which was unlimmited.
then they upgraded me to a 2mb connection which is 30gb/month... now i was gonenr hasve ago but currently i dont use any more.. but im still annoyed about it..
but im switchign to pipex anyways , unlimmited 2mb :D
anyways imagin thisi n the uk:
UK annonce 1gbit conections for everyone at £20/month unlimmited downlaod!
small print: 256upload.
