Interesting. Kinda happy they are critically analyzing their mistakes and even openly discussing them. The old "everything is fine, you just don't know how to play our game correctly" had gotten very annoying.
Only thing I miss in there is the insight that a modern MMO needs to run fluently and possibly lag/bug free. I still believe WARs horrendous performance on top notch machines was not healthy.
Anyway, wishing mythic the best of luck and who knows, maybe they'll be back with a big bang with a revamped DAOC Classic or WAR 2.0 or even DAOC 2 (though I doubt that). The 3 side war always was awesome.
cheers Noloa
ps. miss my SM too

Aye I think most of us could easily put up with some balance issues if the performance issues were fixed. The thing that killed my enjoyment of the game was the terrible performance in end game. Leveling was mostly a blast as were most of the earlier keep sieges but when numbers really inflated and the game bogged down it became no fun for anyone.
The interview stresses the lack of need for people to socialise too much for my liking because it really wasn't one of the more important factors as I see them. Similarly the game economy or lack of it didn't matter much to me, it isn't a necessary factor in my enjoyment of the game.
Who knows the sky might decent to the earth, the horsemen may ride out and they might fix the lag but I just can't see it happening with the base they have to work with if it hasn't been fixed by now.

War is still ON! Still a lot of problems, but it's getting there slowly. Karak eight peaks has transferred to norn, and atleast the population is balanced now. Still some epic rvr to be had :D

Too bad how well you do is based on the amount of bright wizards you've got. The game still has HUGE balancing issues.
Downloading AION :)
