DC Universe Online (http://dcuo.station.sony.com/?cid=EM1037&_mid=1037&_rid=1037.1200.28716)

I've been keeping a side ways glance on this one. I'm intrested in it due to the fact it's an actual comic based MMO and not just a super hero MMO like CoH or CoV. They have posted up a few videos, latest is with the artist Jim Lee which gives a nice indication on how the game looks in terms of the citys and the characters (both official and player made). Second video in shows some created characters, just hoping they allow a lot of customisation so they're some genuinly fantastic characters running about and not 30 odd Captain America clones...

Anywyas, thought I'd post here as I never noticed a post for it before. Hope it turns out good and will prob post back with more info when I have some and if I need to. :P

Also before you cry that SOE are in charge, mind they did make Planetside. They may well make a good game again. :D

Got to be honest, i dont really fancy playing a Super Hero MMO in one of the big Comic "Universes". It cannot be any fun playing second fiddle to Superman, Green Lantern or Flash.

Though, playing an unnamed villan and hacking Superman to bitesized bits with a yellow Cryptonite chainsaw would be kinda awesome :)

LOL, while that would be rather satisfying, im quite sure you wouldnt be able to. There lies the problem with Big IP's, you just cannot do what you would like with them, SWG was a case in point.

True that. Gotham City isn't designed to accommodate thousands of generic superheroes beating the shit out of each other. It's something City of Heroes got right.
