I installed the game on vista , patched up but when I click play I get this error message :

CreateProcess Failed ; code 740
The requested operation requires elevation

uninstalled, tried again and same . checked on faq of GOA's flash site and it says need to install as administrator of pc , which I am and only I use it.

Got redirected to website to download direct from them but its taken about an hour to get to 7%

Any ideas or hints to do this quicker , I right clicked on installer but no option there to install as admin so hoping you tech heads might have some easy solution otherwise Im looking at 14 hr download :(

If you still have it installed can you right click on the WAR shortcut, click on the Properties tab and see if the box "Run this program as an Administrator" is ticked. If not, try ticking it or unticking it.

If that doesnt work try changing the compatability mode.

Im not quite sure why yours is throwing up this error, my Brother has no problems with his Vista install. :o

This seems a pretty standard Vista error. As Ludi pointed out, this may be bypassed by Run as Administrator. If you still experience problems, try disabling UAC. For instructions, follow this guide http://www.home-network-help.com/requires-elevation.html

Seems to have worked from shortcut , ticked the admin box off and back on , then got same message , but when I right clicked the shortcut 2nd time, 'run this program as admin' was there as well as normal 'run' . now patching normaly I hope , thanks

Managed to get in game and have level 5 shadow warrior called Xerel , a bit lost as to what I'm doing atm , getting used to UI and skills , and awkward looting ( have white circle at my feet all time and when I stand over dead mob its circle and mine overlap ) I'm adjusting to different movement from what I'm used to ( usually hold right mouse button down to turn and such , but in this game I just strafe ) but it appears very stable game so far.

When is best to do all rvr and scenarios level wise ? or dosent it really matter in any tier ?

You can do scenarios whenever, just run around doing quests and queue for all of them. Go in when they pop.

are you sure you want to play a SW? :shinner:

you will need a thick skin to compensate the frustration this class brings along.
