BFR up to 4 points (on top of AA1+AA2).

Mosquito (3)
MA, HA, SA, REXO (12)
A.hack, medi, engi (11)

Best vehicle in the game bar none.
Best armor.
Best anti-infantry weapon.
Best anti-MAX weapon.
Full self-heal, self-repair and hacking abilities.

Go go one man army.

They needed to bloody cut the cert points down to 12, not buff 'em up to 26 damnit :(

Doesn't really make sense. Not really the most needed of changes. Not even a very good change, though it does give quitting br20s motivation to play again I suppose (if they don't get pissed and quit even faster).

On a sidenote this probably means that I'll be back in PS more. I'd like to quit when on top and I ain't at the top with this damn new patch. :mad:

in hindesight, most of these improvements are worth it after a while. This isnt enough to make too big of a change imo - i would have liked to see an extra implant with the 3 more BR though.

When it was 3?? Don't remember that. But they are also going to bring everyone's certs back to 0 so you have to relearn everything.

Nice thing about it is that we can now try to get everyone to follow some form for the Outfit, like Niko mentioned.

Should we ban BFR's on Main characters and only allow them on ALTS ? That might be an idea.

Everyone getting Adv. Med by BR15 might be another.

Adv. Hackers / Adv. Hackers --> Uni-max/Infil suits.....? Our Scout is born.

Anyway, lots of things to discuss prior to the patch going live, so try to read the forums more then normal during the weekend. We need everyone's input.

@ The new patch: IMO that is pointless. Yea fair enough you get a little something more to work toward but whats the point if all the certs are just gonna cost more?

when i got to br20, i tired out the mossie (dropped it) then the skyguard (dropped it). I like surge. Also, i always found transport (my glue gun doubles as lube :D)

we should all take splatter max for the additional 3 points.
there is no defence that can stand 20+ max suits who charge at the same time.
even interlink/maelstrom defences have a hard time against coordinated max rushes.

also our enemies hate the splatter max for a reason. time to piss them off and form up the unbeatable resecure force ;)

all in all, +23 BR isn't very creative after almost 2 years of PS.
SOE would perform much better if they change the whole command thing and give post-BR20 stuff that actually has some meaning (special implants, certs etc.)

I was initally hostile to the idea of additional certs to spend, but now I think about it, I think it is a good thing. It will me to try out other combinations of certs and allow for a greater variety of gameplay without me having to start another character which at this stage in the game, is not so appealing.

While I see your point, Fusion, it annoys me that it's just becoming easier and eaiser to completely ignore the whole teamplay aspect on the game and be a capable fighting force alone.

Just look at those setups (first one in particular...). We're going to be seeing even more of these now more powerfull solo air cav resec-/defense-/kill-whores. And that really annoys me.

Can see where your coming from dengar but when you got more than 1 char as most ppl have (i got 4 br20's in werner alone) you have kinda tried every possible variation.

Which IMO is very true.

Sometimes i'm enjoyin the game but the 3-ways are really getiing to get on my nervs made worse by the fact that that is all the cr5's wanna do, its no longer about getttin world domination its about 3-way arse rapin and Zergin.

The only 2 things that keeps me subs is playin with you guys and the hope that some day it might go bk to the way it was :(

what is more devastating in a base fight than 20 or more splatter max suits who auto run straight into the enemy spawn or turn around behind the line of defence and attack the enemy from behind ?
im 100% sure we could turn the tide in allmost every base fight this way.

With 13~15 points in support certs I really don't like running around in a MAX suit. I'll be there to open the doors, do the revives ... and the repairing. Have a feeling my BANK will break down, though :(

Split aircav into reaver and mossie again, require mossie to get reaver and make mossie 3 points and reaver 4 points... heck even 4 and 5 points instead

i think its good to be able to get more cert points.
now you can specialise yourself for more different sceneres, like 1 outside and 1 indoors.

i also hope you get room for an extra implant at br 21.

@ Sweeper666: No you don't get an extra Implant Slot. (Logical would be at BR24 if they follow the current 6 BR steps for Implants.)

And regarding the Solo-Kill-Whores and killing teamplay:

I don't think that these extra 3 cert points will change much in that. The solo players will play solo regardless how many cert points they got. And the teamplayers get some extra cert points to help the team.

(I will get my Air Support or Assault Buggy Cert back, depending on the situation. That way i can switch between Ground Support / Ground Transport and Air Support / Assault Buggy to fit the actual need of the team.)

this is kinda good news, with my char Frostfire, my infil char, i had to choose between MA, Adc.med and scattermax, now i can get at least 2 of those...

infil, MA, splattermax, mossie, CE , Adv.hack, med. sounds nice for me

BFRs abuse many Cert Points, so it is an comparsion for those who use BFRs...
It seems like the Devs love BFR users and 1 man armys.
They should invent something for teamplay.

A guy had a good idea in PS forums, with Cr5s who can look at a list of Platoon or Squad leaders, who want to fullfil missions, so they could chose a Platoon or Squad and give them the Mission, to kill gens, hack facilitys or fast attack units.
So the Platoon gets XP from fullfiling missions.

Giving 3 more certification point isn't a way for SOE to tell the players:

"Look guys we are sorry about not having the mrrit system ready yet but we couln't be arsed to finish it on time so enjoy your 3 cert points" :rolleyes:

Then again SOE might just be feeling generous and giving 3 more cert points so some people will stopp whining.

Oh well....this be meaning i can get more equipment.
