I'm not quite sure what's the purpose of this thread to start with ;)

Basicaly, I find me WP .. borked. I rolled it to go for Grace spec, which on paper is not bad. Trouble is, it just doesn't cut in rvr. Since every destro and their squiq is auto targeting WPs. I'm pretty much just healing myself and if I stop, I die. Now there's plenty of ways to stop me from healing; tanks, slows, stuns, knockdowns, knockbacks, roots and disarms.

Sure I could switch to Salvation spec and heal bot ... but it's not really entertaining enough for me. (Especially that on WP, healboting is boring).

AM is pretty much a heal bot as well. (Until they replace the class mechanic)

RP .. well, sure it's a heal bot, but they have a lot of different heals, which makes it slightly more 'fun'.

I've been playing a bit with me T2 SW and Engie for a bit and it's not that bad. Both have thier advantages so I'm not quite sure which one's going to be more valid at T4 (if I ever get there, that is).


Sooo any thoughts/ideas/suggestions?

Until you're 40 in at least full Anni and have something at least as good as an epic quest weapon you can't judge.

Anni is for salv specced WPs. Compeltely useless for anyone else.

Plus, it's not going to eliminate this: tanks, slows, stuns, knockdowns, knockbacks, roots and disarms.

If I would've had to solo Poll to 40 I would've stopped by lvl10 and if I would have to solo PvP I would've stopped by now as well - it's the usual curse of healers in any game, really. So come play with us more often, lvl to 40 and get some good gear and not only will you be the most loved person in the guild (other than me and Zyg ofcoz, we're MINT!), you'll also be playing a rather strong pvp class - it just needs some of your attention before it really starts to shine, I guess.

And yes.. being an AM is still boring and sometimes exceedingly frustrating in pvp, but I get my kicks out of keeping people alive when it looks hopeless or when my mini-nukes cause the killing blow on something (preferably something worth a lot of renown).

You can roll whatever you like, they are still going to exist and your still going to get annoyed by them. Be you a WP, IB, BW, WH etc etc....

As a note, you will get boned as any class by CC.

If your job were to do DPS you'd complain about knockback, disarm, disorient, disable, root, etc. :)

Seriously. There are Grace WPs who play just fine. They play near the front lines and they succeed. In ORvR you just can't expect to survive as any class in you push out for long. Even Par dies. A lot.

Just like Par, Kham and Sean do. Just like i do when they notice im a Bright Wizard. Re-rolling is not going to stop you from getting bummed. Playing in a Group/Warband will.
