What is best for a rouge, tiger or monkey?
I have been both and i find up and down sides on both.
When you use tiger gear your dps increases dramatacly and you dont have any problem killing single mobs, but when you are unlucky and pull two of then your hp really isnt up for it, but with monkey gear i really dont do that much more damage then a good spec'ed warrior. For onyxia in the future for example. How much hp will a rogue need then? Will it be more helpfull with strength? Am i even going to survive the first blow? and so on
Would apreciate other points of view.

You need to find a good balance between damage dealing and survivability. As a rogue, you are a damage dealing class, but it's worthless if you can't stay alive. The ideal way for a rogue to survive is by never getting aggro, which means that you should always be attacking the same target as the warrior. Use Feint if you over-damage and pull aggro, or as a preventive measure. Endgame rogue gear has a good balance between str/agi/sta so it shouldn't be a problem, but as a general rule: if you die too much, get more HP/dodge, otherwise focus on your damage output :)

For endgame instances, 3000-3500 HP (Unbuffed) should be a reasonable amount, but for Onyxia/MC you need upwards of 4000 HP, again unbuffed, to stay alive long enough to get out of PBAoE range and bandage / recieve a heal. The healers will be concentrating on tanks, so you are mostly responsible for yourself, don't count on being healed but get away from the damage source instead until you are fit to go back in.

IMO monkey is the way to go. As a rogue you do much dmg even if you dont add str. Specially for solo monkey is the best, it makes you able to take a hit without dying.

High Stam, High Agi, Medium Str. I never really bothered reading the names on my green stuff, but wicked leather got me far untill I got blues from instances like BRD and UBRS (never got to do LBRS, Strats or scholo for equipment with my rogue). For solo I used all the stamina equipment I had, while in raids I switched to my crit equipment as I
A) should not be the one taking the damage
B) had 3-4 healers to back me up :P

Your ability to solo also comes down to your build as a rogue, I went Combat / Assas and that build topped with Stam/Agi made for some impressive fast in fast out kills with a DPS running around 180-220 on equal con mobs.
