as many of u know i recently upgraded my gaming PC,

one of the things i have not done is my RAM

well i have a 1gb 400 PC4000 in there atm, but i have also got a 512 400 PC3200 and annother 512 400 PC3200

my predicament, is that if i put these into my board it wont work.. because u can only put in 1 stick/2 sticks or 4 sticks

putting in 3 sticks = error.

So why dont i put in an extra 512mb of RAM and keep the other spire?

well the thing is if i put in annother stick my RAM speed drops from 400 to 333 as it says in my board manual.

Also it would bring my overall PC4000 to a PC3200

and i dont know if the extra 512mb is worth putting in for the speed loss.

although alot of ram is needed for PS, i heared its all to do with the speed it operates..

so should i put in the RAM or not?

I would say that 1GB of PC4000 would be better than 1.5GB of PC3200 for Planetside.

depends on the cpu? if its only a 200fsb cpu then 1.5gb is better

1.5 ghz has slower acces rate than 1 gb in windoh xp. but once u hit 2 gb then its ok again (i have no idea why though) (the dif is only like 4-6ms)
