I've canceled our accounts.

Filling in the survey to help Funcom improve AoC just showed me that I actively hate a lot of things in the game while I truly enjoy only a few aspects. It's really a shame, but there it is. I can't stand more than half of the design decisions they made, and if they ever change things around it won't be anything remotely close to soon.

In the entire time since launch they have stealth nerfed my class without addressing anything that I see as a serious issue with my balance in PvP situations. Not to say that I haven't had my fair share of wins, as I have, but usually only in the dirtiest manner possible . . . which made me feel like an assassin, not a stout guardian. No, basically I couldn't outlast anyone in PvP. My choices were run or die slowly. Even with Polluxia we couldn't out damage the regen on a barbarian, nor could we out damage the heals on a tempest . . . and that was with me in offensive.

So yeah, PvP as a guardian is fail. PvP as a PoM is also fail, and PvE as a PoM is also pretty much a joke. Guardian is decent until you run into the wrong mobs, at which point Funcom apparently wanted you to just get jibbed. *shrug*

So yeah. I love hacking off limbs, but everything else from the most horrible harvesting system ever implemented (seriously, no joke, that's how bad I think it is . . . I can't think of a game with a worse resource system) to a bland and broken crafting systems to utter crap itemization to massive client performance issues . . . that's all crap I'm happy to leave behind.

The only way you're likely to see us back is if AoC gets a reputation as an intensely awesome game sometime down the line or if it sounds at least significantly improved AND Funcom dishes out free game time as an enticement.

Was great to be back with the legion again, but I think it's going to be another game (JGE?) before it works out.

As another soldier class player i share most of your views regarding PvP and that gathering/crafting system is a bland copy-pasta from WoW except worse (which is to say not very good at all).

Thus my break from the game as well but i'll be certainly checking back in a few weeks - or earlier incase of a "miracle" patch, one of which kind Funcom did already pull off during beta.

I'm not as negative as he is (of course, he's just a sour trout by nature) about the game, but after realising I hadn't logged in for 2 weeks and not 'missing' it it's clear that it's just not the thing for me either. Which is too bad because it was nice to hang out with some old familiars again and meet new renegades as well :(

I kinda know how you feel. Some things are really nicely done, the bigger part, however, isnt.

Plus I dont think the upcoming pvp patch will do any good. Handing out Items for "PvP-Point-farming" (wow-style) just doesnt look right.

Renegade Legion wouldnt merge with another Guild unless we kept both the Title and control, its the Legion way, we are bigger than one game - hence the definition 'Multi Gaming Community'.

A number of us do have contingency plans if the boat does keel over, that being due to having some great friends in Galactic Alliance which we have known for some years, but i think talk of abandoning the ship just yet does some great diservice to the Legion.

I cancelled my account earlier. The latest patch notes are just a fucking joke. Half the stuff they claim to have fixed, are not. Their priority of making some fucking book despawn when its picked up is just a total fucking joke.

Im just abit mad for being so stupid to upgrade my PC for this POS game.
Could have spent the money on some other fun stuff instead.
Im amazed that there is still ppl playing this game for some other reason than the friends/guild/community reason.

Just letting you guys know I've not died or fallen off the face of the earth. Been living it up a lot the last few weeks with it being summer and all my local friends being back from uni (some of them permanently now). Aside from that I'm gearing up a wow toon to play with twist in the arena since it is really the only thing left in WoW I've not tried giving a serious go.

I've not given up hope on AoC completely, I'm mainly waiting for them to get their arses in gear on a couple of issues and fix the pvp up a bit. When I have some more free time on my hands again I'll definitely be popping on and I'm on TS quite a bit anyway if anyone wants a chat :)
