Surely though with melee being run-run-swing-run-run-stab-run-run-hack combos are useless?

Well people won't be standing there to let you hit them multiple times will they? Combat will be a constant run/circle strafe.

combos are most of your damage as melee, getting them off in pvp is rather important in my experience. Combos also generate additional effects depending on which one you use and your class, some decrease targets armour or burn their mana some snare or stun and some knockback the target. I don't think most combos are interrupted by movement unless it is mid-swing or during the final effect but I may be wrong.

Sorry for being ignorant, watched this last night but didnt have sound on
so its like youur buffing ppl and u cant move?
Doesn't like wow already have this in the form of totems/blessings but u can still move?
the whole lack of moving and obvious lag ud get from loads of ppl doing this at the same time confuses me.

Not quite Ath.
Spellweaving doesnt buff anyone but yourself. Think of it as "Charging" yourself up. As you complete more and more of the spells to "charge up" you increase in spell power.
Its kind of a trade off between power and mobility. If you finish your spellweave you should become the most destructive class in the game.
To put it in WoWlaymans terms imagine having your Mage stand around casting for 30 seconds unable to move, then when he is finished his Spellpower quadruples and he crits with every cast.

Yeah and you get bigger animations and what not... :D
I must admit I wasn't too impressed with some of the finishing moves I saw on melee classes since they took a long time to complete with other mobs where just attacking me. (I hope they've changed that in later patches)

ah oki well thats sort of cool then :)
i just imagine later on when ur raiding something or pvping a few ppl doing this at the same time should be quite heavy gfx wise :P

I would imagine the Spell effects are scaleable in the settings.

Well you should be able to cancel the fatality but if you do you won't get the boost from it either. Blood Lust, the buff you get from a finished fatality, gives your whole group a buff increasing their damage etc. It's one of the most powerful buffs in game so consider the animation "casting time" for the boost.

Yup. That is what I want. Does take a long time to cast though so I don't think you'll see a lot of those in PvP. :D

I would be shocked if you could use it in PvP yeah, but who knows. Maybe if you are defending a fixed position and have help from others it will work.
PoM + ToS + Demo + Necro all weaving while a couple of sturdy tanks intercept any ioncoming enemies?

To be honest that would be a very cool concept for magic in an MMO.
It takes forever and a half to do anything, it's exceedingly dangerous, and the results are not all that impressive.
Would fit well into a very low magic world.

Quite powerful that, well worth letting the animation run through.
