Remmeber we have two guilds too, Silvermoon is our Normal server guild (alliance), and Bloodscalp for our PvP guild (horde)

For Silvermoon, we have less cloth wearers than other classes (priests, mages and warlocks) so much so that playing other classes may lead to a lack of group play, as there's so much more competition. Just a warning - at the end of the day, you should play a class yo uenjoy, but I know some of our oversubscribed classes wish they'd rolled a cloth class

On Bloodscalp, we need anything we can get, as long as it aint a shaman :)

Ouch :(

Hmmm ... wondering about the shamans.

Druids everywhere seem to be hit pretty hard by "lack of healers"-syndrome, forcing them all to go restoration/caster gear at 60 (such a shame, I'd love to see some more feral specialists).

Halfway the same for the paladins, 'cept they're in plate so half the time it'll be "we haven't got enough warriors, you're the tank!", the other half of the time it's "we haven't got enough healers, you're the priest!".

What about shamans?

Shamen are:

Raid leader1: Hey we havn't got enough healers, your the healer
Random shaman: HAHAHAHAHAHA, me heal?
(please note that shamen are the worst healers in the game)

raid leader1: hey, we havn't got a tank, your the tank!
Random shaman: *leaves raid*

(Yea right, main tank shaman.. pfh)

The Main reason why a shaman is brought along to a raid is because of their Hybridity (is that even a word?)
they are perfect raid controllers, because what ever part of the raid comes out of hand, a skilled shaman can step in and tip it back into the healers/dmg dealers/tanks controll.

Unlike druid and palladins, shamen do NOT work as a primary. How ever much you would like them to, it just aint possible. Because of our lower armor, a LOT lower hp, and lack of mana + horrible heals, we really do not fit any of the main roles. The only thing a shaman is fit to be main as, is damage dealer, if he has a good two hander with windfury on it. (In scholo I managed to win against killerb in the "cause the most damage" contest)

Anyway, A skilled shaman is always wanted in a group, because of his totems (that give amazingly nice buffs) and because of his skill to controll the flow of battle. What ever part of the raid is suffering, the can step in and take controll, untill the main of that type get's back into the game.

We have a bunch of priests and warlocks on the way up now, so how about a mage? :)
