Did a quick count of all the classes for everyone in the guild lvl 55-60, heres the results:
Druid - 4
Hunter - 11
Mage - 6
Paladin - 11
Priest - 4
Rogue - 9
Warlock - 2
Warrior - 8
Total: 55
Upcoming in the future (lvl 50-55):
Druid - 0
Hunter - 1
Mage - 0
Paladin - 4
Priest - 2
Rogue - 6
Warlock - 4
Warrior - 0
Total: 17
Note, these lists don't take into account how active/inactive individual players are, but it gives us a general guide for what we need to consider for our class balance...

Yeah, we have probably all the paladins we ever need heh.. Still looks bleak on healer side.

I know people aren't with me on this one, but when we go for Onyx and MC, we will be *needing* paladins in +int gear. When it comes to healing tanks, holy light+blessing of light is so much better then the priests FH/GH ... not to mention, the real strength of the priest is prayer of healing; we'll be needing those to sit around babysitting rogues mainly =)

Agreed Niko, from what I gather from the forums the role of paladins in MC is as healers and dispellers. Many of them are gathering the shaman set since that gives spi and int bonuses while having more armor than cloth. The MC bosses and many of the mobs have point blank AoE so you want to have as few classes as possible in melee and as many healers and ranged attackers as possible. Paladins aren't doing enough DPS to justify the increase in healing required to keep them in melee.

So, are rogues in the same boat of having to spam "their shoot/throw" key then? They have it worst imo :p

Rogues do the most damage of any class in those types of fight. No mana bar holding them back - which makes it worth spending some healing mana on them. Pop 4 rogues in a group with a priest for prayer of healing, and it should be ok.

Will be interesting to see the combat logs once we get to Onyxia / MC :)

From what i have heard there are only about 4-6 palas in each run to MC. That would mean that over half of our palas would be left behind. Im not totally sure about this but thats when i have heard.
