Just to get a rough figure, who would be interested in playing if we enrolled ourselves for 6vs6 or 8vs8 play on ClanBase or something similar. I love playing but sometimes wish there was more organised play. We can't all cram on 1 side of the server or we royally rape the other team so we can never play together.

i said something on the subject a while ago when we decided to start recruiting but its early days yet killswitch m8 n i would b very surprised if we've got enough folks wantin atm, especially numbers like 8vs8, best bet to leave the competitive until we've got a plentiful number of RL regulars on the server up for n willin.

It shouldnt b long before that happens at this rate tho hopefully n i agree with u in the sense that it'll add a new dimension to the game and relieve some of the repetitiveness, all in good time ;)

there is a nice 6 on 6 leage m8.

ask four more people to play there and u got your 6 man squad.

so we have 6 in total people willing to play in a league who play regularly together who havent got busy work schedules ? hmm and you'd need more then 6 even if it was a 6 man league in case some1 cant get for w/e reasons? well i hope it is as easy as u say kampf

I'd definitely be interested, but I might not be quite good enough yet...
I could play something easy, like medic or pyro ;)
when (if) I become full member, that is.

We'd need to get people for certain roles too so we'd obviosuly need a bigger squad than 6 I'd imagine.

I would go as far as saying I am a very good medic but the other classes I am about average at so wouldn't want to play in a match as one of those when someone else could easily play soldier better than me say.

Yeah, specialisation is probably important.
Soldier is the only class that I'm absolutely dreadful at. I'm reasonable with most of the others...

Most used 6vs6 setups are:

Capture Point Maps

Medic
Soldier
Soldier
Scout
Scout
Demoman/Sniper

Capture Intel Maps

Medic
Soldier
Soldier
Scout
Engineer
Demoman/Sniper

But you can mix up how you want really, just giving an idea of the most used classes, obviously we need some decent scouts/soldiers.

watched a clan match not long ago with paria on hltv, they where playing 2fort and the setup was identical both sides had,

soldier
medic
demo
demo
engie
scout

they scout switched between playing a medic aswell im pretty sure i remember

engie setup just outside the spawn pointing down towards the way in via the wooden ramp and put his turret up to block people getting through aswell, presumably spys and also put his dispenser in the doorway down blocking the other way out from the ramp/stairs, then 1 defensive demo + 1 offensive demo, the soldier and medic where always offensive, the scout ran offensive as well ofc.

no havy?

Seen heavy used a few times but never as first choice, usually a dead soldier spawns as heavy if 2 scouts are pushing in towards final cap.

Flexibility is more important.

Over specialisation breeds in weakness.

Heavies are not as useful as most would think, the propaganda of being a medic buddy has led this class to literally become dependant upon having a medic in order to do anything. Personally I hate being slow spy/sniper bait.

Guessing though from the popular figures my Spy/Pyro tendancies will not see much use.

Spy is sometimes used on cap maps for pushing to the last cap point if the other 5 members of your team are more than a match for 6 of theres you can often win from the off.

I have never seen Pyro used in the over 50 clan matches I have matched.

I'd be well up for getting a competative team. I'm not bothererd about winning or loosing, it just would give the game more of an aim for me if it was actually one team of people against another.
I'm a bit of an all round guy tbh - not terribly keen on demoman tho. I'd proberbly be up for jus filling in whatevers missing or whatever the current game situation needs.

I'd definetly be interested.

But, again, I'm on trial.
