hello peeps,

iam searching a queit alternative for the standard cooling system of my new graphic adapter. the standard cooling system is pretty loud and so iam searching for a passive or low noise solution to exchange the standard cooling system.

does someone have some good hints for me?

I've used Arctic Coolers (http://www.arctic-cooling.com/vga2.php?idx=40) for gfx cards, always have been much quieter and more efficient than the original, worth a look.

i have heard the arctic coolers arent as silent as they promise... and have worse cooling attributes then a passive cooler called VM-101 from Aerocool the PolarFreezer from BeQuiet.

I can't comment on others findings, I don't hear mine

Again, I can't comment, mine's fitted on an ATI card, its very much better than the stock one at cooling and I like the fact that it blows the air out of the case. (the rest of my system is water cooled, but I can't cool the memory chips on the gfx card with that, so find I get better cooling using an air gpu cooler)

That said, a passive cooler by nature will be much quieter obviously, and assuming that you blow enough air at it should cool well enough :)
