As there has been gathering interest in TF2 from outside RL and having seen people want to join us, about time we let some of them!
As Pariah initiated and set up (meaning paid also) the RL server and has since dominated the server almost non stop since, I feel that he's best placed to "lead" this section?
Twist is similiarly involved and I'd suggest that he also should be leading?
What do you guys think? Its what you've been doing already.
You guys lead, we follow :)

Thanks for the vote of confidence m8,
I've been thinking this over and we'll have to come up with something for trials n invites, there's getting to be quite a few people in the community askin for details on how to become part of rl who would make a great contribution to the community.
I did have a quick word with pariah about this n it felt abit like trying to squeeze blood from a stone but that's perhaps because i brought up the possibility of joining a league and playing competitively, maybe once a week or once every 2 weeks as soon as we build up a decent enough player base and take some of the regulars under our wings, but that's in the future to come yet and a side of the game i feel will re-leave the underlying dullness and repetitiveness from the game.
I also think pariah would be a very good choice to help lead since he knows the game in and out n like me he plays it a ridiculous amount "plus i love the idea of pariah's stern take no shit leadership with lashings :D"
One person i think you've over looked who clearly has the ability and exp for the role is yourself ofc echor m8, I know for one i would feel alot better in the split role of leadership if i had an old dog such as yourself to play off.
after all your pretty much online as much as we're on the server nower days.
I can see this role would have a stressful side to it which i think is the reason pariah is not to keen on the idea but looking at the situation as it stands at the minute there wouldn't be that much added on top of the roles that we lead already and i know that im game for this challenge.

In the past when we talked about doing the CS clan we ran into the brick wall of not having a full website which prevented us joining some leagues. At the time no one had the time to do a website up to the required standard, if someone can knock something together I'll happily provide the hosting space for it.

i'm just not interested in playing the game competitively - i.e leagues and such thats my only problem, i dont mind overlooking the trials and invites of people to the community, but simply i dont have any interest in clan matches.

The man at the top doesn't need to be involved in anything, just needs to deputize and steer.
My suggestion is to build this up a bit, get people involved and find out what people want, so if we end up with a group large enough who are interested in being competitive, why not, but if we don't and just have a damn good frag fest and some fun that's not a problem either.

Looks like things are coming along nicely. Competitive play would be nice, but as Echor pointed out, there has to be demand for it. As well as not spoiling the light heartedness of the game, except for the odd face stab. :p

Wheee... Helloooo!
Just got TF2 so you lot will have to suffer my nubness.
Off the bat; The Website thing may not be a problem as from what i understand most of the Source-Based Game Ladders are using the Steam Community group-page instead. I did have a webpage that i was working on but i have lost most of it to corrupted files when one of my drives packed in about a year ago :(

Personally, I try to switch to the losing side whenever possible if a round was much too easily won.
By the way, there's some dude on the server called Goo-Man wearing the RL tag. Pariah told me he's a trialist but I can't see his application anywhere (possibly because I'm blind).
