I think this is spoiling game play.

How?

how so?,
is it that you think people play differently when they have the opportunity to see there own stats and where they rank on the leaderboard?
or is it that you think its ruining your enjoyment because you don't want to see your points/stats?
I think perhaps your right for the few minority's, this will effect them in a bad way for example...
nobheads who will sit at there base for half n hour as an engie defending the last point with a t3 turret when every1 else is at the 4th point or like people less willing to get stuck in and die and rush points. but the problem i have with this argument in general is that if people are willing to do the first or the second of the 2 examples then i would say they would do the same on a none hlstats server just to look half decent on the scoreboard.
Since paria removed the points shown that you got when you die, i havent actually found myself paying any attention to it while playing at all, every now n then i might check out my session stats or w/e at the end of a game out of curiosity just to see because i thought it was an especially good game or to compare with someone on ts to see how well i did.
you always have to take stats with a pinch of salt imo, when you look at someone's stats it doesn't tell you how many times they've ran in and sacrificed themselves to defend a point or to save a healer or an engie defence, it doesn't tell you if they've been taking out key defensive points with a spy by sapping them as an uber rush comes through, it doesn't tell you if some1 takes a rocket in the face to stop a sentry getting blown up.. so on and so forth.
in the end i think the stats haven't had a damaging effect on game play and if anything its helped because it doesn't matter what it is people always like to see scoreboards and achievements and because of that the server is brimming full 24/7 so it doesn't matter what time you come online there's always some action.

Well, thinking about it, I’m not sure whether it’s HLstatsX or just some peoples nature. But one team COMPLETELY dominating another game after game seems pointless to me on a public server. Often just one good player swapping would make for a good game, and the opportunity for this is always there, because a team being annihilated (unsurprisingly) hemorrhages players. But a change to a much weaker team rarely happens.
Is it HLstatsX or human nature?

Umm, the server isn’t ‘brim full’ 24/7, in fact it’s popularity seems to be going down

Twist, why not take the Evil Twin approach? That server was running a mod that would look at the stats of the players in each team at the end of each round and try to balance the teams around that. Also, joining teams was disabled, and choosing random team is forced. I think that's a good way to go.
Obviously, that server is running CS Source, where score more or less corelates to skill, but then again, to some degree it is the same in TF2.

seraph m8 check the website i know for a fact that its more popular now and that "brimming full all the time" is pretty much how the server is, there's gonna be peak hours ofc when people get off work, weekends but in large its a pretty popular server "http://www.gametracker.com/server_info/217.163.27.129:27015/"
Game Ranking is done by server popularity
"That server was running a mod that would look at the stats of the players in each team at the end of each round and try to balance the teams around that. Also, joining teams was disabled, and choosing random team is forced. I think that's a good way to go."
Well the problem with this approach is that i know from my perspective i like to join the server and play with my m8s on the team, even when most of the time there's just 2 or 3 of us on the server and i really cant possibly see how 2or3 people on the same side on ts just having a laugh not playin seriously should effect the balance of a 24person server, now obviously if 6/7 guys join on the same team in the same clan it might effect things but if that is the case we can ask them to split up abit. we can scramble the teams and at the end of the day just because people share the same clan name doesn't make them good..
another problem is because tf2 is relativity new there's not to many mods atm and alot of the current mods are still being improved week in week out.

its takes a couple of people to join to get it busy, it's never going to have the same pull as a wireplay or jolt server even if they run some godafwul rotations.
once there are 6 people on a server genereally it will fill up.
as for the stats it has definitely pulled in "some regular" players crashlog for example are on nearly every night, the more skilled players on the server regularly the bettter - tough fought games > shitty walkovers.
as for the balancing aspect, remember 1 team is supposed to win - you can spend all day trying to balance it out, sometimes you just have to suck it up on a noob team and do the best you can - and trust me 1 good player will not make a difference swapping teams - thats mainly why as well as the 30 min time limit there is a max 4 round win parameter so if its a walkover the map will change pretty quickly.

Yes Twist, it was from the Gametracker website I got my info.
Highest Rank: 134 (couple weeks ago)
Current Rank: 167
That's not to say it's unpopular, 167 is still great. And I'm not saying HLstatsX has anything to do with it either. I was just saying the server isn't 'brim full 27/7' and it's SLIGHTLY less popular than it was. The server used to busy up around mid-day, now it's more like 5pm.

so in essence your moaning for the sake of moaning then???
If its not because of hlstats, then it might just be the way it is...
servers go up and down in popularity SLIGHTLY.
when it emptys at 3am or w/e it'll only start to fill up when people join, all it takes is 1 person to join and it'll be full up before you know it, so if you want to see the server full at 6am or 1pm all you have to do is join it.

Lol, don’t get your knickers in a twist Twist :)
In essence I’m moaning about HLstatsX, anything else about server popularity was merely to contradict your false statement: ‘brimming full 24/7’ ;)
