Hello lads
Does anybody have vista and a geforce 8800 with armedassault installed .
Me Da just got him self a Dell XPS with Vista and Geforce 8800, I told him now he has to get Armed Assault , he did but after unstalling it and installing the patches ,its freezing during the game and the grafix's aren't what i was expecting.
I know if I play around with the settings and lower them down a bit i'll get it to work except now i'm back in Holland and me Da is in Dublin.
I was just wondering if anybody has and info cause even though me Da plays games all night he is not too quick on doing things on the computer like setting up gfx card settings and so on, and for me to explain to him on the phone takes ages.

I've had some problems in multiplayer with graphics etc, though in general my current PC is a bit wonky.

Some new nForce betas out, might be worth taking a look. Think they're meant to address a few issues with Vista.

They are Beta drivers, and they are working ok? I'll install them on his computer and see how it goes.
Tell ye the truth I didn't even look at the beta driver page at Nvidia

Ok i've installed the Beta drivers from Nvidia,
But i was wondering does anybody know anything about the video card settings in the Nvidia Control Panel ,things like antialaising and stuff like that, I was thinking it might be an idea to play around with them, but if any of you know any tips ,that might save me time as in remote session to Dublin it can sometimes be a click wait 5 mins then click again.

I was looking again on me Da's new Dell xps
I noticed that the drivers for the chipset where default from Microsoft,
I checked out which chipset it was and it is nvidia 590 nforce ,so from Nvidia site I downloaded them drivers too and installed them,
My Dad is saying that it seems to be running better now (not crashing while he plays the last level his game)
